29 degrees here in coastal SC BRRRRRR. Got a call from my GP scheduled to get the first vaccine this Tuesday not sure how I feel about it but will get it just the same.
Got mine a week ago... absolutely no problem or even the slightest side affect. To me the real fear was possible getting Covid19 which has proven fatal millions of times. Haven't heard of anything worrisome about getting the vaccine. So if it works like it is supposed to we can quickly get back to normal, if it doesn't work, then we are right back to where we are right now. So what's to lose?

To all sorry as I only pop in now and again, too hard to keep up with everyone's comings and goings in this thread but I do read them.

Update for the following (and anyone else really)haven't been doing much that is strenuous and have really been resting my back since October; off Vicodin (I didn't have any withdrawal issues after being on it since June), on something milder now.

So @ImperfectPixie @Tiggerish @TINKWINGS and @MinnieM123 @figmentfan423

Had my first steroid injection in the spine early last week, that's a really weird sensation. So far so good as I'm just starting to get some benefit from it.
Meant to respond but anyhow, Thanks for letting us know.....hope you get some short term relief Willmark! Glad you are on something milder too......but I know you are very mindful of that and it's a good thing. Do you still have a surgery scheduled.....this Spring? No fun. I went over to the gardening thread and thought of you the other day.....I think I will start ordering my seeds and plants for May fun.....my gardens are small but functional and provide much enjoyment. Hope the rest of your family is willing to take on some of the watering and work for you.....:cool::cool:

My sister has had both doses since she works at a hospital. She had no side effects other than soreness at the injection site. Just like a normal flu shot.

December will be quieter at Disney. Pop Warner moving over to UNI
Guess they couldn’t afford Disney rates anymore? A tad cynical on my part? Our commuter fee for youngest competing in May there is $395. That includes the competition fee and 2 day hoppers. The competition fee covers the use of ESPN. If both her teams go add $100. If we stay onsite the fee would be just over $700 a night at Sports. No thanks. Praying they get a better bid and we won’t have to pay more or the fee will be less expensive.

What I am surprised is how everyone in the elite powers are trying NOW to prevent the "rubes" from using the same shifty tactics that large stockholders have used to manipulate stock values.

To clarify(from what I read), this all started when some very dirty hedgefund managing companies, were trying to short the stock of a then popular and now ailing game vendor company to make it go bankrupt.
Investors on reddit pooled together and used different smaller investing companies like ROBINHOOD (how ironic) to buy almost all available stock units. This caused the managing companies to lose millions and be forced to hold on the remaining shares despite trying to resell again in masse to perform a short. And were quickly countered by the reddit investors.

Things escalated when the hedgefund groups cried like prissy boys to authorities because they could not manipulate stock and were outsmarted by other short stocktraders. And now miracoulously... all groups are trying to stop the stock "insurrection" by blocking any smaller groups of investors from buying. And only leaving Wall Street to do so (how cute.. they get played with the rules they set, and now they want to change the rules).

This obviously has bigger repercussions that shows how wall street is pretty much corrupt lane for the rich by the rich.
I have been watching with interest. Reminds me of the movie “Trading Places”. Pretty similar. If you haven’t seen it watch it. It is really a great movie with Eddie Murphy.
