You folks seem to always accomplish so much so it is my turn to show my ambition. Today is the 3rd of December. All my cards have been written and will be in the mail tomorrow. All my Christmas Gifts for all 10 of my Relatives have been wrapped and are sitting under the little tiny Christmas tree that I own. I know this isn't the proper attitude, but now I am going to make a guess about how many gifts I get back as opposed to the number I have given. It just always strikes me wrong that I bring a backseat full of gifts to both my daughters houses on Christmas and can return mine in my glove compartment. Something is wrong with that. But, it's the giving that counts, they tell me. I'm sure if I live long enough I'll start to believe that.

I guess for me the real gift would be that 2021 is no more than half the crap storm that 2020 has been. That's the plus side! The other side is that I will turn 73 in 2021. Honest to god, I was just 23 in 1971 and recently back from Vietnam and managed to get stationed in at a radar site in Vermont. One year away from getting married in Jan 1972 to someone I had not met yet. What an unimaginable amount of water has run under the bridge since then.
It is amazing how fast time goes! Congrats on getting your Christmas all done!

Hey, I beat you on the Christmas cards -- my list is 20, and I got them all done last Saturday -- and mailed on Sunday. :p

You're ahead of me on gifts, though. I've bought a couple.

Now, as for your reduced stash of gifts that you receive each year, just remember that good things often come in small packages. And it's not the quantity of gifts that matter, but the quality of them. (Personally, I like it if someone gives me money. :hilarious: ) Yup, that's a rare occurrence, though.

Not wanting to brag or anything, but mine were all written address and stamped to go about a week and a half ago, but I didn't want to send them out to early.

O.k. So adding to 2020 suckdom at banks--

Went to my bank this morning to make a cash deposit inside. Doors were locked. A bunch of people were standing around outside the doors, and no one knew why the doors were locked (we could see the tellers inside as usual).

I decided to call the bank (yup, 5 feet outside their doors . . . ) and ask them if they were going to open. The woman tells me, "We've been open for 45 minutes." I explained no one could get in with their doors locked, and THEN she says, "You'll need to go around to the other side of the bank, and use the drive-through. We put up a sign that the lobby was closed." I said, "WHAT sign? No one has seen any sign!!" So--

We all get in our cars (except for the one couple who were car-less, and had to stand waiting, in the drive- through queue). Line took forever. So, once I reached the outside teller window, I asked again, where was the sign? She says, "Oh, it's right here on the window." I explained that it would have been HELPFUL if they put ANOTHER sign on the OTHER SIDE OF THE BUILDING AT THE MAIN ENTRANCE, where most customers go! :banghead:

I don’t usually post things on my phone but I thought I’d try this. I’m hoping for two pictures to show up when is my itty-bitty little tree. and the presents there in or I should say there under. 9210EA17-881A-45B4-B97B-F43966C5476A.jpegF9FB3DAF-E239-46E9-AAB3-52B7F367E14E.jpeg
The Santa clause ornament that my parents said they gave me when I was one making that 71 years old.

Exhausted. Baked a cake for A while he was at school, and then when he got home, we started to make the cookies for chess tomorrow. Got one cookie sheet into the oven and he decided he was done, so I had to finish baking the other 10 sheets myself. E frosted and decorated the cake for me while I was making the cookies, and then she helped me ice all the cookies. I wouldn't have gotten it done without her. But it's all done now, AND I got everything cleaned up and dishes going. Bed time!

I don't even know how to respond to that. What did she say? It seems like it would be common sense to put the sign on the main door where peope will see it. If people are already in the drive thru line, they obviously don't need to see the sign...what good does it do there?

EXACTLY!!!! I thinked what also ticked off people was that (once again) there was NO advance warning that they were going to shut down lobbies overnight.
