When ds was about 6, I bought him a loft bed. I thought it was cool because I always wanted a bunk bed, and there was room underneath it where he could play. I learned real quick that it is not fun to change bed sheets on a top bunk. By the time he turned 8 got him a "normal" bed that he still uses.Does anyone else here find
Cool...!!!
We only ever lived in 3-bedroom homes growin’ up. When myself and my next youngest bro, Chris, we’re the only 2 kiddos, we slept in a double bed in one bedroom and mom used the spare as a sewing room. When youngest bro, Larry, came along, the sewing room got turned into a bedroom for him. When our lil’sis, Elaine, came along, she got youngest bro’s bedroom and us 3 bro’s got “Brady’d” into one room with a bunk bed and a twin bed...!!!!!
Funny thing is, for the first few months we had the bunk bed, we would rotate (twin, lower bunk, upper bunk, repeat ) until the novelty wore off.
After that, myself, Steve (Greg) claimed the twin, Chris (Peter) claimed the upper bunk, and Larry (Bobby) got the lower bunk, just like on the TV show...!!!!!!!
Good times...!!!
Awesome! I am going to stay with my aunt in December; hoping to get to Charleston while I'm there.Well since the WDW trip went so well. We just booked a few days in Charleston in a couple of weeks. Our last get-away for the year. I would rather go to WDW but I guess another trip would be pushing it.
The cats usually just roll themselves all over the rugs to make sure we all know it belongs to them.Hubs accused me of pandemic boredom decorating today. Bought a new rug for the living room, rearranged a few things in there -- and get this -- I even cleaned the room, too! He wanted to take me to Urgent Care, because he thought I lost my mind.
Meanwhile, our dog, Jack, is now scared of the living room, because something has changed -- and he hates change. I tried reasoning with him, "Look, it's just a cheap $49 rug from Target; get over it." He's been pacing in the hallway now for a while . . .

Florida.Dolphins are cleared by play in front of the whole stadium of people. They are not doing it but still...
Bringing back such memories. I built a "loft" bed for my daughter. She put a bunch of luminous stickers on the ceiling of stars and planets that she could see when the lights were out. She, however, quickly tired of not only getting up and down from it. (built in ladder) but making the bed was a total PITA. Used it for firewood just a couple years later. When ds was about 6, I bought him a loft bed. That's just wrong
