Happy Anniversary! I hope you enjoyed the movie. What movie?

The New Mutants. There were very few choices, and I’ve enjoyed all of the X-Men movies (except the Dark, Stupid Phoenix.)

We enjoyed it overall, especially after bad reviews lowered expectations. And again, it was just nice to be in a theater (with only one other person in addition to us in the whole room.)

Looks like you had a nice day. I think that your family is autographing some of the insides of the rebuild on your parents place, a fun way to make it a family home again.

Thanks...!!! :)
It’s an idea that Megan (oldest DD) came up with months ago, along with a small time capsule that is still in process.
We’re also looking for a lamp to surprise my mom with, at some point...preferably right before they move back in. There was a colorful, glass lamp that hung in the corner of mom and pops bedroom on moms side of the bed near her nightstand. They bought it new about 50 years ago.
The fire started on the back of the house and climbed high. The fireman broke through both gable ends to put it out, and at some point the wet ceiling collapsed sending the lamp crashing to the floor.
Pop knows what it looked like, and we know mom absolutely remembers what it looked like, but, we don’t want to arouse her suspicion by asking too many questions and ruin the surprise...!!!!! :hilarious:
Pop thinks it’s got to be in the background of some pic somewhere, but, he has yet to locate it in one.
We’ve also found a lot of similar lamps online, but, no jackpot yet.
Anyway, thanks again...!!! :)

I once owned a Datsun 200 SX. Nice looking little car but one of the most uncomfortable vehicles to drive any distance beyond 50 miles. I don't even remember the year it was, but I would have to think it was circa. 1978.

Yep, the 200sx has never looked like it was designed for comfort, and has been around long enough to be both a Datsun and a Nissan.
Many iterations have also looked pretty cool...!!! :)

Glad you both enjoyed the movie, with the theater 99% just for yourselves! (Reminds me a little of stories about Elvis Presley, who would rent out an entire theater to see a movie sometimes.) ;) You two are rock stars!

Up here, they opened the theaters a few weeks ago (with spacing, etc.). What surprised me was that they shut down the concession stands, so no popcorn, etc., for sale. Curious -- did your theater have the concession stand open?

Yes and no. It’s an AMC dine-in. You could order food from a limited menu in the lobby (we did) without a waitress coming to your seat to take your order - just a runner to drop it off.
