Well, I should be at Disney today; we’ve spent most of our previous 12 anniversaries there, with amazing dinners from the old Flying Fish Cafe to Tiffins to V&A’s. But the fancy dinners were not what made it special, it was just taking a moment to appreciate life together.

To prove that, today for our 13th, we’re catching a matinee at the local AMC Dine-In. 🤣

In all seriousness, grateful to be able to enter a mini-bubble for a couple of hours with phones off, away from my work and his Dad, and spend that time together.

First time since, I think, February (?) in a movie theater. Yes, I’m bringing wipes!
Happy Anniversary! Ours is in a couple of weeks and I don't think we have any special plans as far as I know. We are going to a restaurant that we don't like with my in-laws the weekend after our anniversary because they invited us and we will enjoy spending the time with them even if we don't enjoy the food. They are excited about it, and that's what counts. I'm sorry you don't really get to follow tradition, but at least you will get to be together. Maybe next year you can do something bigger to make up for it?

But they’ve cancelled just about all ways of celebrating Christmas this year so maybe not.

Can’t believe they are not lighting the castle with lights.
My guess is that it's a money-saving move? Those lights have got to cost a LOT, and with reduced crowds, they aren't bringing in the revenue they usually do. I could be wrong, but that would be my guess.

T has a test or quiz in every subject between yesterday and today, on top of tons of homework and 3 hours spent on soccer + to/from per night. We’ve been reviewing the material again in the mornings before school, as he doesn’t have a ton of time to study in the evenings.. the kid fell asleep on the way to soccer practice yesterday. I think this is all part of getting back in the routine of a school/sports schedule after so many months without.

So anyway, yesterday morning he forgot his water bottle for school. There’s no milk cards or open drinking fountains this year, so he’d go all day with nothing. I called and asked if I could drop it off

It felt like I was doing a drug deal or something!! 🤦‍♀️😂

I had to call when I parked, then given green light to walk up to the building, mask required and to the lobby door, ring the bell, wait for it to unlock, then enter the outer lobby and set it on a small table. Never seeing the school secretary. 😂😂
It felt so shady.

I then had to email his homeroom teacher and let her know, so she could retrieve it (kids are not allowed in the office now).
He never got it, and she never replied to my email.
:(

I sent him with a different one today, but I really hope they get the other one to him so he can bring it home.
