My days have been so long. I start teaching the ESL kids at 6:30 am the last few days. Then I start with my kids at 8. DS has a lot of work this year. Some he does on his own like this robotics class he is doing. He needs me for Amer. Lit which is a big, humongous, ginormous book, and Civics. I love the Civics course. He is pretty much more into the science and math classes that require less writing. The two younger girls are usually done by 12:30-1. My oldest had her first chem lab at the university today. She had been so worried about it. She got an A in it, and got a perfect score on her first biology quiz. I hope she can keep that up.
Good luck to you my friend

Thanks for askin’, Minnie...!!! :)
We got nothin’ here...no wind, no rain, nada.
And, actually, BIL, MIL, and niece in the Houston area got nothin’ either...storm tracked more northeasterly than originally predicted.
Which means lil’ sis and her family in Lafayette, LA got hit a bit harder than they thought they were gonna’. All are fine, but, one of their trees came down and put a hole in their garage roof...

My daughters pit always seems to jump up on me and has caused those types of wounds quite often. I think we finally got her trained to not jump but just come close and beat me to death with her bony tail that whips back and forth at the speed of light. She is such a sweet dog that loves people and kids especially, but they are having a hard time to get her to understand that she is extremely muscular and easily excitable.

Both our pups came from the local shelter. Both are mostly black lab, but, Belle obviously has German shepherd in her blood, as does Ranger a bit of pit bull.
He’s a great, even tempered dog, but, he’s also what you described as extremely excitable.
Ultimately, their was no pain involved, and I’m already old-ish, ugly, and pretty scarred up anyway, so what’s a few more “blemishes”...?!!!!! :hilarious:

Yep, I’m definitely an old Motorhead...
Watchin’ “American Pickers” and the subject of piston rings came up...
Yep, usually three per piston, and make sure the splits aren’t lined up when installed to maintain maximum compression, and hope it was done right so they don’t rotate in line...
Funny...
Other tech has advanced so much over the last 120-ish years, but the vast majority of vehicles around the world (and, yes, I know there are exceptions) are still powered by an internal combustion gasoline engine.
And still...
Where’s my damn Hovercar...???!!!!! :cyclops: :hilarious:

Tweet doesn't make much sense. Outgoing vows to step down from role? But he's outgoing.. Fans are in disbelief but Messi wants out.

I’m a huge fan, and I don’t really believe that Messi wants to leave. What he wants is help, that’s the big drama. Barca has not replaced Iniesta, they wasted player signings, they loaned a player whom they should have kept... which all has resulted in the mess we saw twice this year- Once by finishing 2nd, not 1st, in La Liga.. and then the unimaginable 8-2 loss in Champions League. Messi can not carry the offense, he needs players to send the ball to when making his plays.

Messi and Barcelona are intertwined.. that club has done so much for him since he was a little boy. They paid for his growth treatments, and to move and support his father from Argentina to Spain- all when Messi was a child.
Now, saying that, he has been just as good to them. He is the main reason they have so many trophies. The man is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, to every play the sport.
The two are bound so tight, everyone thought he would retire with Barca, never wearing another jersey— this is all why fans, and the world, are all stunned. It’s why it is the biggest news story in the world right now... with article after article stating “sources say..” but, nothing from Messi besides the letter.
Barca is a weird club in its setup,, and beyond that, the president has made crucially wrong decisions. If he goes, if they can sign players to compliment Messi, quickly.. then I believe he will stay. If not, then I do think he will go to the Premier League..but, I hope not. I am a Barca fan (La Liga fan, not TPL) with or without Leo.. but I am also a Leo Messi fan, and I don’t want to split allegiance like that.. I want so badly for him to stay and retire with the club.
