@Cesar R M I saw an article that said that school children in Mexico will be getting their lessons through tv broadcasts this year. I was wondering if any of your family is impacted or experiencing this and how that is working. (Not trying to be political, just curious as an educator.) Thanks!
Well, we're all adults already.
The only partially affected is my sister's daughter but she is in university, thus gets classes via Zoom.

@donaldtoo , how did your area do during the hurricane? You mentioned you're usually far enough away from these Gulf-driven storms, but just checking in here. Also, hoping that your rellies in Houston are o.k. as well. It's hard for me to tell from the news reports of the storm, because I'm not familiar with specific areas they highlight -- or how close some areas are to you.

My days have been so long. I start teaching the ESL kids at 6:30 am the last few days. Then I start with my kids at 8. DS has a lot of work this year. Some he does on his own like this robotics class he is doing. He needs me for Amer. Lit which is a big, humongous, ginormous book, and Civics. I love the Civics course. He is pretty much more into the science and math classes that require less writing. The two younger girls are usually done by 12:30-1. My oldest had her first chem lab at the university today. She had been so worried about it. She got an A in it, and got a perfect score on her first biology quiz. I hope she can keep that up.

Thanks for askin’, Minnie...!!! :)
We got nothin’ here...no wind, no rain, nada.
And, actually, BIL, MIL, and niece in the Houston area got nothin’ either...storm tracked more northeasterly than originally predicted.
Which means lil’ sis and her family in Lafayette, LA got hit a bit harder than they thought they were gonna’. All are fine, but, one of their trees came down and put a hole in their garage roof...

One less tree to worry about fallin’ on the house again, and free smoker/firewood...!!! ;)

@ajrwdwgirl , you've done the dine with an imagineer experience, correct? Who was your imagineer? What was their role?

I did dine with an Imaginerr twice. I can’t remember their names I would have to look that up in my trip journal. The first time was with a lady that started as a secretary at then MGM studios but now does design of interior queues. She work on toy story mania and the Pooh queue. The second time was a graphic designer and he work on signage. He had done a lot of signs for Pandora and Toy Storyland. I think he was going to be working on Mickey’s Runaway Railway too.

It was very enjoyable but you had to be quick on the ADR to get it. I did it both times at Brown Derby for lunch but there was a dinner at Citrcos too. They are not doing Dine with an Imagineer right now though. I hope they bring it back.

Why did you ask? Is it something you are thinking of doing sometime with E?
