Here in Raleigh it reached 97 degrees on my thermometer. With close to 90% humidity. Even with the AC running just about constantly I have not been able to get the inside temps to less then 74. Thankfully the ceiling fans help to negate the high humidity at least for me. My salt shakers are not doin' so well. When this finally lets up I am going to have to run my chunks of salt through a food blender to make it granules again. I know I can stop it by just purchasing a dehumidifier but I'm hoping someone close by will buy one so the same magical thing will happen and I won't have to spend the money.
Oh it is hot there! My DD in Greensboro said it was just ‘nasty’ right now!
We have high humidity here too in the mountains and low 90s all week. This is when I hate hot weather. Can’t take that humidity!

Our driveway is being repaved today. Currently 91 with feels like temp of 99 and it is only going to get hotter. I asked them how they handle the heat and all replied you just get used to it and you have to stay hydrated.

I have heard people say that too about working outdoors in the heat. But, I don't think I could ever get used to it. I will go outside for awhile then run inside the air conditioning for awhile. And repeat. All day long. :joyfull:

We debated riding up to Cherokee and maybe Gatlinburg this past weekend but decided it was too hot and probably too crowded. There is a picnic area called the Chimneys picnic area we like to go to right by a nicely flowing river, but decided to stay home in the AC instead.

In the last month, 2 couples from here went to Gatlinburg, (not together) and guess what they both came back with... yes Covid. I'd advised to stay away.

When my wife was pregnant for the first time, I had to reserve a parking spot for her at Dunkin Donuts. Luckily for some reason she didn't have the same cravings with the second one.
In Honolulu Hawaii there are donuts called malasadas. When the Portuguese came to HI, they introduced it to the natives. It's a non hole fried donut injected with different favored creams of choice. It's very yummy. After that you go surfing and swimming to try to burn the calories off.

Is anyone that isn't a paid member getting that hugely annoying pop up ad for WDW every time you go onto a different thread? Combine that with stationary ads that are political in an area where we aren't supposed to even mention politics is kind of upsetting.
Yep. I'm guessing to get rid of the pop-ups and other random ads is to become a premium paid member?

The Top Articles pop up? I have been getting that one whenever I open anything on the site.
