You must not be a Friends fan or you'd definitely know what trifle is!That looks great. I don't really know what a trifle is, but with strawberries it must be good.

I think she was referring to the rest of the country doing their best like she and her family are, because the US is not doing well with it. She said she's doing her part, she wishes the rest of the US would, too. At least, that's what I got from it.The US is not doing that good with this virus so I'm not sure what this comment means
Sure but they make it with beef and peas. You must not be a Friends fan or you'd definitely know what trifle is!

Looks like a good day of food and fellowship.
Rachel makes a "traditional" English trifle for Thanksgiving, but the pages of the cookbook get stuck together and she ends up making it with a layer of beef sauteed with peas and onions. The all have to pretend to think it's great so they don't hurt her feelings. You could probably look it up. "What's not to like? Custard....good! Jam...good! Meat...goooooooood!"No, not much. I watched it off and on during its original run but have not seen any of the constantly broadcast reruns.

I looked it up, Tim Horton locations are in MI, ME, CT, OH, PA, RI, MA and NY.
My daughter makes one of those Chocolate/Brownie ones for me on Fathers Day and Christmas. They are decadent but oh so worth the additional calories.Never new what a trifle was---- this old dog learned something new --love chocolate![]()
I think, basically, it means that she wished the rest of the world tried half as hard as they are trying. The US is part of the rest of the world and as long as we are in the "thin the herd mentality" it is going to take a long time to fix this. We are a country of spoiled little children and we are displaying that to the world. It will be a long time before we are looked upon with any respect again. They may fear us, but they look at us like the lowest life form. It will take at least another generation of pristine behavior to get that respect back or to the support we once had. It's probably why there have been no reports of space aliens lately. They figured out we aren't worth the jet fuel (or whatever fuel they use). The US is not doing that good with this virus so I'm not sure what this comment means
Here in the land of Krispy Kreme, Dunkin Donut stores are cropping up everywhere. As I said the Krispy Kreme stores are few and far between and mostly sell in grocery stores on a simple display counters. We don't really need any Tim Hortons, eh!Never saw one. (I glanced at the list and they're all on the other side of the state.) Dunks and Starbucks reign here.
My waistline doesn't need any of them for sureHere in the land of Krispy Kreme, Dunkin Donut stores are cropping up everywhere. As I said the Krispy Kreme stores are few and far between and mostly sell in grocery stores on a simple display counters. We don't really need any Tim Hortons, eh!
