I liked it and I didn't like it. I liked it because I knew when the work had to be completely by and I could work on it in my own time. I did not like it because and this might have been just my school district there was not much guidance or direction at all other than we were given the assignments and when they were due. So I relied a lot on my parents when they weren't extremely busy already or just googling the answers which isn't learning at all.
I have heard the same complaints from other parents up hear.

Too funny. Went To Pull into parking lot and stopped.

Instantly noted the parking lot was segregated. Cars of Color One side. White cars to the other. Giggle. FACAD13B-63BE-4957-A06E-AB4180307BFB.jpeg

My oldest got her license last year. She is scared to drive by herself also. She will need to drive to school everyday this fall so she needs to get over it. She has been going out daily with her car and running errands like to Walmart or other places. I don't remember being scared like her and learned to drive in NY where it is way more crowded than where we live in PA. Where you live is super crowded and the roadways are really crowded. I can see how you could be nervous. Best thing is to just go out a little every day. It is the only way. You don't get better unless you drive more.

That's good advice you gave to Letteyeti. The more you get out there and drive, the better it gets. Have to say, though, I can empathize with your DD's dislike of driving. There are so many lunatics, rude people and just plain poor drivers out there.

I've never been relaxed driving -- ever. I drive where I feel I'm reasonably safe driving (locally), but do venture out a few times a week into some heavily trafficked areas, which I can't stand. But, it's best to challenge myself every now and then (even though I despise driving ;) .) As a side note, hubs loves to drive -- but, nothing ever phases him. I think it's the difference in personalities. He's way more aggressive than I am. (Years ago, one of his jobs was a Boston cab driver on the graveyard shift. He also dispatched for one of the largest taxi fleets in the city. From what he's shared about his 'experiences" back then, well . . . it's not for the faint of heart!) :p

I love cheering. It is my favorite thing to do at school. We do have a teacher who is also our coach and she is amazing. We don't have the problem here in Florida though with it being freezing though for football. We don't cheer for wrestling though just football and basketball. Football is kinda huge and it is always packed. Not only the students come to the games, but it seems like the entire community comes to the games. I also liked doing the musical and was sad when this past years musical was cancelled.

That really sucked that the girl didn't take the rap for blabbing and tried to put it on you. Thank god we haven't had any of that type of you know what on our squad since I have been there. The two Seniors last year who were Co-Captains were amazing and this year the girls that got voted in as Co-Captains are awesome too. I hope when I am a Senior I am one of the Co-Captains chosen. I will again try out for the musical. I am not the greatest singer, but I can hold a tune. I just don't have a very strong voice. I am a very strong dancer though and in the musicals they really need that.
Yeah, our big sport was basketball. Everyone came to the games. Our football team lost every game for like 7 years in a row....no one bothered to come to those games. The stands were practically empty. Not many girls wanted to cheer for Football, because it was cold and our team was awful, but it required coordination, so it was harder to make that squad than it was to make Wrestling cheerleading. Basketball cheerleading was the hardest to make, and it was weird because we only had 5 girls plus one alternate on Basketball cheerleading, but we had something like 7 or 8 on Football...I don't know why.
