I just came back from our local Walmart. The parking lot was packed and the main road had plenty of traffic just like before the quarantine.I feel so bad for you, and anyone who lives in a state like this. DeWine is strict, we have many rules, playgrounds are not yet open- but will be soon. Most summer camps are not coming back.
But if you look at traffic and parking lots in shopping areas, you would think that life is back to normal.
Hey there! Sorry I haven’t chatted on the other forum in awhile. That has been our place to get away from everything lately. We drive up to Pisgah or Mt Mitchell then turn around. It is definitely cooler up there. It was down to 75 this weekend but at home 88. I felt like I would live! Fresh air is good!@93boomer We love the Blue Ridge Parkway.
One day a few Octobers ago we left the house and it was warm and sunny and I had on a short sleeve shirt. By the time we got to Mount Mitchell, it was snowing. Sorta silly on my part.
No offense taken. I will say that we were lucky and DH had no issues with the Pandemic Unemployment website that came online for self-employed. I have heard otherwise from many others. He is finishing his second week back at work so don't need to deal with that anymore.I more like living here because the governor and legislature have figured out how to put aside political differences and work out how to keep everyone safe. The only major debacle we've had here was that the unemployment website failed. And then heads rolled and it got fixed. PA...I kind of feel like this is par for the course. Every time I deal with them or one of my relatives does, the difference between how Maryland does stuff and PA does is like night and day.
My grandma has suggested to me before that I move over the PA line and commute down to Maryland for work since it's cheaper to live in PA, and I'm like, nope, nope, I'm good, I'll save a bit more money and live in Maryland, thanks.
No offense to you, obviously, and there are some lovely areas in PA; I just prefer to live in Maryland.
Looks like a briar to me since the leaves are jagged on the sides.
I am guessing Washington County should be a go.Oh, Friday 5 pm, 50% capacity pending county executives approval.
Gidget is our most active cat and is also our chunkiest. I am amazed at the acrobatics she can do in the catio.I don't think you've been around since I got Jasmine. Anyway, this is Jasmine. Jasmine came from a litter of 10. Jasmine's favorite thing to do it eat. Jasmine is on weight control food and runs around the house like a nut. It hasn't helped.

I am afraid of what Hershey Park will expect from guests. Figure we finally get season passes and this all happened. I won't go unless we can visit in a normal way. I cannot go to a theme park and wear a mask in the heat and worrying if my family is 6 feet from another. I go to an amusement park to have fun and not to have worries, or be forced to take on the worries of others. It was so refreshing to go to the gym yesterday. There is another gym for wrestling training that I guess the local high school in the area uses. It was full. It was so nice to see so much normalcy yesterday.@StarWarsGirl or @MySmallWorldof4 , have you heard anything about Hershey Park yet?
I still can’t imagine what’s Kings Island is going to be like. I’m picturing misery.
Cheer is not as strict as soccer apparently, or maybe the PA guidelines aren't as strict as Ohio's? No masks on anyone including staff. It is not law to wear a mask here. Cannot really "social distance" when you do stunts,or getting spotted in tumbling. There are always more than 9 kids in the gym.Update from soccer camp-

On top of this, only 9 kids per camp.. which means since our early June camps were cancelled, I’m on a waiting list for July.
These poor trainers though.. the camps are 9am-3pm. I can not imagine wearing a mask during the height of summer, while running to exhibit soccer skills.
Saw that at Walmart today. Is something like this in your future then? I thought about one for myself actually.
Aha didn’t know that p ivy could have jagged leaves! Thanks for the info!Yes, definitely poison ivy. Leaves of three, let it be.
Another way to tell is the center leaf is bigger than the other two and if you look closely, the veins in the leaves don't align in the middle. I hate that stuff and currently have a small rash on my arm from yard work the other day. And some have smooth leaf edges, some jagged.
They're the only ones left!3 families down our road have this same pool! They must be popular this year!
Yeah, they've been following the governor.I am guessing Washington County should be a go.
Got ours 2 days ago. Ds's eyes lit up when I gave it to him.The new Lego magazine came out of quarantine
I think they're planning a discounted renewal rate next year. Hopefully. They also froze our payment plans.Hersheypark has extended all 2020 passes through June 30, 2021. The issue is that since they are seasonal passes, this is really of little benefit to anyone who regularly buys them. Unless you just plan to visit during the first half of the season next year.
I think everyone with any kind of amusement/theme park plans is quite impatiently waiting for those informative emails!!!
Cheer is also a very rigorous activity and many are complaining about just walking in the parks in the heat with them on. Try doing a full cheer routine in the Florida heat with a mask on. Not gonna happen. Pyramids, Stunts, Spotting all of that just don't work with a mask or Social Distancing. I am one of the smaller girls that gets thrown around called a "Flyer" as you probably know that term as your daughter is in cheer. I rely heavily on my squad or I'd have so many bruises and even broken broken if they didn't have my back. I trust every one of them on my squad 100% or I wouldn't be doing it because I would hurt myself and the others. I think come the Fall if we have to cheer with Masks my Faculty Sponsor will unfortunately elect not to cheer. It just won't be safe for us.Cheer is not as strict as soccer apparently, or maybe the PA guidelines aren't as strict as Ohio's? No masks on anyone including staff. It is not law to wear a mask here. Cannot really "social distance" when you do stunts,or getting spotted in tumbling. There are always more than 9 kids in the gym.
Ok, I see leaves of 3 and immediately freak out. Had bad poison ivy a few years back. Was weeding the yard and didn't pay attention to what I was weeding. Don't do that anymore.Looks like a briar to me since the leaves are jagged on the sides.
