A's teacher's wife had their baby yesterday! That's going to make it fun for him to teach from home for the next week, I'm sure!

Apparently they have also decided to split the classes in half and alternate days. This makes no sense to me. It doesn't seem like a good method because every kid has strengths and weaknesses, and you can't do every class every single day. So by dividing the classes up, one group of kids gets one set of lessons, the other group gets a different set, and the rest they follow at home. But there's no way to divide it so that every kid has all the classes they need the face to face instruction in. And then you have some kids who don't really need instruction in anything, but they have to go every other day anyway, when there might be a kid who really needs the help in a class on the opposite day that they are scheduled. There's just no good way to do that!

@Tony the Tigger , hoping that you have a good Memorial Day weekend, both in profits for your stores, and also some nice social time at home. Eat some barbecue!! :hungry:

Good news/bad news:

We had a record-setting (no pun) Saturday in sales, even keeping the stores at 50% capacity. Friday and Sunday were very good also, even with fairly steady rain.

Today looks like a washout - torrential downpours and flood watches. This meant I did only one grocery delivery yesterday, and I’d expect about the same today. Missed opportunity as holiday weekends = great tips.

Hired someone yesterday I think will do great.

Very relieved to see business come back so strong, so fast, even if it’s pent up demand that will taper off.

Very relieved that it rained most of the weekend, keeping stubborn people off the beaches.

Concerned about the crowds at other establishments.

Well, that sounds mostly like good news. Wish it was all perfect, but let's celebrate the positives.

Yay! Hope the store continues to have “record” sales. I was watching webcams from Florida yesterday and saw the bad rains in your neck of the woods.
