So everyone HAS to get a drivers license? I'm assuming there are exceptions made for handicapped students? I have a friend with Cerebral Palsy. She wanted to drive at some point, though she would have needed a special car with hand controls rather than pedals, but eventually she realized it wasn't in the cards for her. Her reflexes aren't great and her eyesight is terrible. No way would she be able to meet that requirement in order to graduate! How does that work?
Most here are required to take the classroom material which is what the grade is based upon. There are exemptions from that for some special ed students

DWifey and I met my pop at their home. Wore masks, and distanced from each other...it’s hard when you’re used to hugging the loving parents who brought into the world and raised you without fail, but, it’s not prudent now.
Gutted house, but, it will rise again........

That is going to be nice when it’s finished! So glad you get to see them! I haven’t seen my parents since Christmas.

Hubs and I took a hike this morning on a trail near us and it is an area around and up a very big hill. My fitness app says we did 13 stories. The weather was great and it was nice to be out in nature. The bear that lives in the area has been active but we did not see it. We did see a snake, chipmunk, squirrels, and some birds. Here are some pictures including from the top of the hill.

Thank you...!!! :)
So sorry about not seeing your parents since Christmas...that is tough, especially when your parents are so loving and caring, as are ours.
Mom wasn’t there, but, Dwifey and I got a good look at everything. Although, with the current situation, it probably won’t be move-in ready until the first of next year, at the earliest.
Life can be a kooky thing, but, even my 80+ year old parents are kickin’ it’s ...!!!!!!! :joyfull::hilarious:

Hang in there -- it will all come together. And it's something that your parents have to look forward to as well.

We'll wait and see what comes of her inquiry.
Have you looked into testing out of classes? I remember my brother took some sort of test, and I don't remember what they were called, but basically they were equivalency tests...you took a test to show how much you knew and depending on that, you might get to strike certain credits you needed to graduate because you already had that knowledge. My brother tested out of some German and some Math, so he didn't have to take those courses to get his degree. I was too scared to even try. I was convinced I'd just look stupid and I'd have to pay for the test and then later have to pay to take the classes anyway. But your daughter seems like she's really intelligent and has a good basis in Math and Science....perhaps she could knock out a class or two so she wouldn't have to take those at all?

We had to go to Arnhem to get chicken nuggets for A since we were almost out and can't get the kind he likes here, so we went by my in-laws' and stood a few meters away and had a brief chat. It was nice to see them. We left the kids at home, so we'll do a video chat soon so the kids can talk to them, too.

I was reading TRs today and so many people had trips planned for May or June, and who knows when it's going to open again? I got to thinking...I had originally thought we should do our trip this Summer. I really went back and forth between 2019 and 2020. I thought if we did 2020, we'd probably be able to do Star Wars, but then I remembered going to WWoHP at Universal when it first opened, and I didn't want to be anywhere near SW:GE when it had just recently opened, so we went last year instead. I'm soooo glad I did that now....we'd be sitting here wondering if we were going to get to go and what it might be like if we did. I feel so bad for all those whose vacations were canceled, or they are up in the air about whether or not they will get to go. And what happens with things like ADRs or queues with so many people?? It's so uncertain now! I'm glad to not have that anxiety on top of everything else!

@MySmallWorldof4 The other thing to tell your daughter is always listen to the advisors when they say something about scheduling, and beyond that, if an upperclassman tells her something, especially if multiple upperclassmen tell her something, take it as law. They know from experience who the professors are that are great and who's not so great, and also what not to do schedule wise.

I had upperclassmen tell me my freshman semester that when I got to business ethics, I needed to sit through the class rather than take it online because the online version was much more work than sitting through the class. I had to sit through a three hour class on Tuesday nights, but dang it if they weren't right. There was barely any homework, and meanwhile those who took it online complained about the workload.
