I'd totally forgotten about Diet Coke with lime. That was some good stuff.

Just got off the phone with my folks. As I posted a while back, the house is completely gutted. The rebuild starts Monday morning.
They actually finally did decide to go with an island where the old counter/pantry/hutch wall was. Only major-ish design change from the original plan, but, it’ll make for a completely open kit./liv./din. area. Mom is happy, and, ultimately, that’s all that matters...!!!!!

I don’t complain much, but, the timing of all of this has been a perfect fun-storm...!!! My folks house fire, C-19, DWifey and DS losing their jobs, delayed rebuild, etc. But, we’re all surviving, and if we’re surviving this, we can survive anything...continued wishes of good health to you and yours...!!!

The whole house must live with his restrictions imposed by his work. Driving distance limits, only out for essentials wearing a mask and distancing. No going into certain towns or areas even if within the allowed distance. Dh cannot come in contact with anybody notfollowingthe rules. edit this will most likely remain in place until the entire country is cleared

Blurg. My DD has been work at home since the Beginning of March, her team was the first team to throw in the towel and retreat Manchild came back about 10 days later. Even though I am going a little squirrely at lease knockwood we are all healthy and employed.

Shanghai Disneyland remains closed as we continue to closely monitor health and safety conditions and follow the direction of government regulators. However, as the first step of a phased reopening, Shanghai Disney Resort will partially resume operations on March 9, 2020 with a limited number of shopping, dining, and recreational experiences available in Disneytown, Wishing Star Park and Shanghai Disneyland Hotel. Each of these resort locations will operate under limited capacity and reduced hours of operation. The Disney Car and Coach Park and the Disneytown Parking Lot will also reopen.

The resort will provide an extensive range of measures, designed to ensure a safe and healthy experience for all guests, Cast Members and Disneytown tenant employees, including strict and comprehensive approaches on sanitization, disinfection and cleanliness. In accordance with relevant regulations, every guest entering Shanghai Disney Resort will be required to undergo temperature screening procedures and present their Shanghai QR Code. Only guests with a green Shanghai QR Code will be allowed to enter the resort. Guests must wear a mask during their entire visit (except when dining), and will also be reminded to maintain respectful social distances at all times while in stores, queues and restaurants.

Not sure why you might think that some people have not "paid attention" to the recent banner from Steve?

I actually had not seen it. Everytime I see the orange banner above that I have a moment and mistakenly think I'm on a Virus thread.
Steve addressed us separately in the Lounge. Me, I watched a forum that was once wildly popular that I played on for years just drop the forums altogether with a farewell letter a few years back. That website still exists but the forums, the expensive part gone.

I know many of us follow each other on Facebook and Instagram however it wouldn't be the same. I'm in touch with most of my cyber friends from that old site on a few pages of Facebook but so not the forums.

I watched Disneyland Paris night shows yesterday and no fireworks. There are absolutely no fireworks. Low streamers, I don't count as fireworks. They have special days for fireworks though with Bastille being one of them. Disney relies too much on the Disney projectors.

I watched some Trooping of the Colors on YouTube too. Totally didn't get it.

She is very excited. We are not worried about her classes because she has live in tutors (dh and me). Been there, done that.

Driver's ed in Illinois is required, both to get your license (if you are under 18), and as a state mandated high school graduation requirement.

So everyone HAS to get a drivers license? I'm assuming there are exceptions made for handicapped students? I have a friend with Cerebral Palsy. She wanted to drive at some point, though she would have needed a special car with hand controls rather than pedals, but eventually she realized it wasn't in the cards for her. Her reflexes aren't great and her eyesight is terrible. No way would she be able to meet that requirement in order to graduate! How does that work?

Oldest got her schedule. Right now it is Mon-Friday with Tuesdays off. All classes in the morning and she is done before 1pm. Only thing is they didn't give her calculus. They said it was either chemistry or calculus. They don't want to overwhelm the Freshman I guess? I told her to ask to add calculus. She is worried she will forget her math knowledge by taking a year off of math.

Could she take a correspondence course in Calculus? Or trade Chemistry for Calculus so she doesn't forget the math and do Chem at a later point?
