Our Governor announced May 15th for Michigan. However, there are some new exceptions. Golfers may now golf (6 ft apart) but no golf cart rental), boaters may now get their boats out, greenhouses can now open, and yard services can now work too. She's trying to mandate face masks... but can't legally do so, so it's HIGHLY SUGGESTED, that everyone wear a cloth facemask (Not PPE so that people aren't taking away from the essentials) and businesses must supply their employee's with masks.
In the NJ/NY/CT I believe wearing face masks are not mandated but before entering a store there are posted signs that you must be wearing a mask to enter.

Boaters were not allowed out period, or just public marinas? Also, wow, I still can’t believe that lawn services weren’t allowed to operate.

Maybe the yard services weren't a concern for now because of weather. I know as of right now, in Wisconsin we won't need to worry about mowing for maybe another 2 weeks as lawns are just starting to grow and gardens can't be planted until we get multiple nights above freezing so there is no chance of frost.

I don’t know when it became a thing to play games and have people spectate, and make money from it.. and even more mind boggling is that kids get enjoyment out of watching someone else play.
I think I’m officially old and too many generational differences.lol

My husband's nephew does that on YouTube, he has built himself a nice little nest egg from people watching him play video games. I don't get it either, to me it would be almost as boring as hunting or fishing. Especially fishing.

Aw man....there's no Mexican food here. This makes me hungry!

It was all sooooo very tasty...!!!!! :hungry:
The family have only 2 locations, and they moved the original location to a new one just before all the virus situation came to fruition. The ladies that I love even got margaritas to go, and they sent the little bottles that you add yourself...they were quite happy with that...!!!!! :hilarious:

I'm not sure about the law but we have to wear them. I know all the stores have had the signs up for a couple of weeks along with markers for how far apart you have to stand at rope drop

My kids used to watch others play video games. I never understood that. I would tell them to play the game themselves. Who knows, maybe they got pointers. They no longer watch those videos anymore thank goodness.

Oldest got her schedule. Right now it is Mon-Friday with Tuesdays off. All classes in the morning and she is done before 1pm. Only thing is they didn't give her calculus. They said it was either chemistry or calculus. They don't want to overwhelm the Freshman I guess? I told her to ask to add calculus. She is worried she will forget her math knowledge by taking a year off of math.

They're doing her a favor. I made a huge mistake taking Accounting and Statistics in the same semester, which happened to be my second semester. I'd say if she's worried about forgetting math (which I honestly wouldn't be; remember that it's a semester schedule not an entire year and chemistry involves math) then swap over to calc this semester, but yeah, you definitely don't want to be overwhelmed your first year. That's what the other three years are for

We’ve been watching the 1975 World Series. Final game last night. I love the blurry picture, the words on the screen in low tech, the announcers, the excitement (even though I knew the outcome). My parents were at that game, but in separate seats, my dad was able to take leave last minute, bought a standing only ticket and watched the whole game standing up, my mom in the seats with their friends. He’s told me that story countless times throughout my life, said he would stand again to watch that game.lol

Side note, I hope the HoF committee remembers those games., and puts Pete Rose where he deserves to be.

Haven’t watched any, but, back in the day when we lived in No Cal, we were huge Oakland A’s fans. Loved when they won 3 World Series in a row...72-74. We absolutely detested that arrogant PR.
Sorry (not sorry), but, the jerk got everything he deserved.

Here in Michigan, boating was not permitted. I don't understand why anyone cares yet though...it's barely 50 out!

I forgot about the weather being too cold. I’m still trying to grow grass from the tree removals last year, the lawn service has been fertilizing which has helped a lot.. I’m glad they’ve been able to, just finally getting some grass now.. still not there yet though.

With boating, I think it would be really hard to sit on your patio and look at your boat but not be allowed to use it, when you finally had the time to use it more.

I would add it. Sounds like a good schedule! Is she excited for college, feeling a little more “real” now that she has a schedule?

I have to use a cart. The change we made along with the golf course is only one person per cart. It works just fine.
