We celebrated National Pizza day with some homemade pizza. I was going to make an almond flour crust but I didn’t have enough, so just a regular flour crust this time. It was tasty.

We got Blaze Pizza for the first time (I don't really like the parking lot setup so on busy days....it's a nightmare because there's a supermarket and a Starbucks right next door). It was good. Not greasy like other pizzas. Crust was crunchy. Overall, if anybody wants to start a franchisee, sign me up. :)

Flashback: I got stuck behind those guys in the middle of a blizzard in New Jersey back in March of 1983. It was late at night dark stormy and although it cleared a lot of snow quickly there was almost virtually no way to get around them without great risk. After following for miles and miles I waited until there was a safe distance between the plows (they used cement trucks to plow back then) pointed the gigantic Olds 98 I was driving toward one the snow banks the the plows were leaving for the next one to catch. I never drove in a storm as bad as that one. Because it was late at night, there was no traffic which was good because visibility was very limited. We even had to stop occasionally to clear the ice and snow off the headlights which by then were basically pinholes in the middle with a thin beam of light shining through.

Yes, heading everyone off at the pass, it was extremely foolish to keep going but we had a Tee-time at a golf course in Myrtle Beach and were determined to get there. Not to mention that was in the middle of my immortal stage.
Ha! I remember that blizzard. I was in 7th grade. It was one of the few snow storms that closed NYC public schools. It was so awesome to just walk in the snow covered, unplowed streets. I was a child so didn’t know any better. ;) I also remember that event specifically because my step-dad had gotten a brand newHonda Accord. That was a time when thieves were stealing the radios. The car was parked outside the apartment building we were living in at the time and the day after the storm it got broken into. Lock damaged and radio stolen. That car ended up being my first car when I started sophomore year at college.

Congrats to TWDC in Toy Story 4 winning an Oscar award last night. Bob Iger was interviewed and he was excited in the future looking to work with ex-Princess Meghan Markle in some capacity. The Oscars is a fun show to watch every year.
not happy.
There were some leaks about the election process again, and it again showed how little attention and utter disdain the "experts" have of the animated industry.
Excuses like "I was forced to see it because of my daughter" "I only knew Disney" etc.. is awful.
Everyone said that Klaus deserved the Oscar this year.

I stopped watching the Oscar's years ago. Of course it is rigged.

Weird. We just did last flight out of MCO to Midway and Precheck was great at MCO. I can see why the entire airport wants to return to private If it is that inconsistent. We normally won’t fly SW anymore and United TSA is more efficient at MCO I flew SW home in November without issue but I departed the first flight out vs last. Again that was a trip booked less than 4 days out so I had no choice but to fly SW.

I actually am fine with the flights with SW. it is all the BS prior to being seated
SW is basically the option from BWI. BWI is a major hub for them. United and Delta don't even have nonstops to MCO from BWI. United's hub is Dulles, so you'll see a ton of flights out of there but barely any for SW.

Not that I can complain. My flight last night was $77. And I can get nonstops to LAX. Plus I like SW.

BWI TSA has always been nice. One of the first times I flew with my grandma, she put a bunch of liquids in her carry on (in spite of me reminding her repeatedly not to). They marked everything except a can of hairspray as liquid meds. Even mouthwash. They were so kind to her. Baltimore TSA and Dulles TSA have always been great. Dulles actually was fantastic. Crowded airport, but their TSA officers were pleasant as can be.
