Can someone explain the new Star Wars rides ?

Not the rides themselves, but how to get on them. One requires a FP and one you go early for a boarding group?
Smuggler's Run will be on FP by the time you go. It's a tier 1, so you can get a FP for that one, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, or Slinky Dog Dash. Smuggler's Run also has a single riders line.

For Rise of the Resistance, you have to get in a boarding group. This means you have to be in the park at rope drop. Open the app on your phone right when the park opens and get into a group. You'll get a notification when it's your turn. You have two hours to return. It's a pita to use, but that's how they're doing it. The attraction is absolutely amazing.

Adding to my previous post, do not go on the weekend. Go middle of the week. We spent the entire day at DHS. By the middle of the day we were getting additional FPs for TofT. We ended up rope dropping TofT and riding it twice on FPs. B and I did what we wanted to do on Saturday and left because we'd had enough of the crowds. Still spent like six hours there, but still.

@figmentfan423 Have you ever had jackfruit in a dish where it tasted good? I made shredded bbq with it once and it was awful. I am afraid to try it again, but I noticed that Antojitos at Uni is serving it as a fajita option and in enchiladas. I don't want to spend the money on it if it is horrible no matter who makes it.
It can be really hit or miss and I wouldn't risk it if you don't already like it.

@StarWarsGirl Do you have any other recommendations in DHS? Like dishes at the new restaurants, or how much time is needed to see Galaxy’s Edge?
Time needed to see Galaxy's edge...depends on what you're planning on doing there. I think a good hour at least to walk through all the shops. There's merch you can't get anywhere else, so take your time. It's interesting to look at.

The only food I've tried so far is the blue milk. B is picky so we've stuck with the other QS locations. I'll have to try the SWGE food when I'm in DL on my own. Woody's Lunchbox in TSL has really good food. There's limited seating, though. They do accept Mobile order. My favorite food is still the Sunset Boulevard locations.

Do your FPs early and then get additional ones later. For your second tier, I would do RnRC, TSM, or TofT. I'd rope drop Slinky Dog Dash and get Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway or Smuggler's Run as your Tier 1. But keep in mind that RnRC and Smuggler's Run both have single rider lines. Star Tours basically runs short all day (no more than 45 mins, and usually more like 10-20) so use that as a filler attraction if you need something to do. Alien Swirling Saucers will pretty much only go above 30 minutes if half of it breaks down. Not worth a FP.

The process sounds stupidly complex on top of fastpass and rope drop.
