It snowed today, about 4-5 inches but it was all fluffy stuff. So it was an easy shovel. @MinnieM123 must be a bad influence on me because it actually looked pretty outside!:D
It snowed here too, but it was sticky and a snowblower was needed with it being in the 30s. Rather have snow today though compare to Thursday. It supposed to be in the mid 10s and a low of 2 below zero.

What a great explanation of the solar panel option. It's good that you are in the design/building business and know so much more about various options.

I just wanted to chime in that I've heard various reviews of the panels (up here in my area, that is). There are some installers who don't have a clue what they're doing up on people's roofs, and there have been many complaints. Also, one has to be very careful which company they choose (I wouldn't have a clue which ones are better). Some people have been ripped off. Again, you're in the business and wouldn't have these concerns, but just a heads up for others.

Agree with your parents, especially at their age -- getting the house built as quickly as possible is the priority. They're so lucky to have family members who know various aspects of the business (including insurance, etc.)

Thank you, Minnie...!!! :)

Have you guys been strictly DL these days?

Kind of, our last WDW was in July of 2018, then we bought an annual passes in November 2018 for Disneyland. We are back to WDW this year (in a couple weeks), we will probably keeps WDW as our main park through the 50th. I do have a side trip to DL planned in July when I go to California with a friend and we are thinking of doing Expo again in 2021. I'm a little nervous about going back to WDW again, I have really fallen in Disney love with Disneyland.

I know you said they want it as close to the old house as possible, but once they begin the process, do you think they will change their minds and start saying, "well I've always wanted this" or that? I know if I had to start over, there are so many changes I would make!

I don’t think so. They still seem pretty sure about keeping it mostly as is. The one exception, so far, that I’ve mentioned before, being a sit-up/eat-up island in the kitchen where the small bank of upper and lower cabinets and a pantry cabinet are in the kitchen, and the china hutch on the other side of that wall in the living room.
It’s just the 2 of them living there, and it was perfect for them. Pop has his office, there is a guest room with a full bath right across the hall, and there is the bonus/game room between the garage, and the living room and kitchen, that has the laundry closet, a half bath, a small wet bar, and a closet with shelves and a Murphy bed in it...all being from the original construction.
The floor plan is definitely still very marketable as is.

All kids grow differently. Your kid never seems to stop though. ;) My son really hit major growth spurts once he turned 13.5.

I wish my son would start to grow sideways. 😂. He’s such a skinny twig. T is seriously my mini me. Our childhood photos look so similar. We were just looking at a few tonight.. I knew he looked like me, but in some photos we’re almost identical if you cover my hair. Lol

My younger brother and were was skinny growing up although he did weight a little bit more than I did at the same ages One of my nicknames was stick when I was a kid. We gained weight after we graduated from high school.

What happened to us was we did not the the have metabolism of my dad. My dad was a high school football player and heavyweight wrestler. My dad was around 205 pounds. The most in high school was 113 pounds and I think my younger brother was 115 to 120. As adults, we weighed more with the catch we were never close to our dad in weight at all.
