I don't wrap until Christmas Eve. When I was a kid, that's what the family did, so it just sort of stuck with me. I put on the Christmas music and wrap (or should I say, "bag" ;) ) gifts on the floor (I like to spread out everything). Oh, there's also eggnog and multiple sweets, too, as I need energy to put a few items in gift bags with a piece of tissue. :joyfull:

Good news--as of this morning, I am done with my Christmas shopping! (Cue: @93boomer ) :p
Believe it or not I always put a couple of last minute items aside including wrapping a couple of gifts to do late on Christmas Eve every year while watching 1576500258930.png right before going to bed. The nice thing about the boys being older doing dishes isn't part of that equation any more:joyfull: btw I'm more of a wine and biscotti person

Making my meal list for the week and grocery list... this week we are eating out of the freezer and cupboards.... need to make room for xmas food, and use what we have! Only 9 things on the grocery list. Bonus.

We are doing this. The kids call it a "pantry challenge". For groceries this week I only bought a bag of spinach, a spaghetti squash, and some cereal and apples for our outdoor christmas tree garlands

Amazon is having a nightmare right now with there Ring doorbells

Their commercials for the holidays are so adorable. Love seeing all the families and dogs having fun in the snow and hugging.

So, I’m watchin’ the Stars Wars marathon on TNT.
Lots of drug commercials during the breaks. Do these drug companies just put some employees in a room with a bag a’ weed and a bong to come up with their drug names...”SKYRIZI”...!!!!!!! :joyfull::hilarious:
I hate all the drug company commercials. I find them unnecessary. Popping pills has become a cure-all for everything it seems. It is more of a cure-all for their stock number, but I digress. It is especially difficult when a movie for a family is on and then their is a commercial for a pill that discusses what happens in a bedroom. I really don't need my wide eyed 9 year old watching that. Really happy for the Disney plus in that regard.

How are you @MySmallWorldof4 ?
My last post on this Chit Chat thread was Nov. 26th.
I was curious if I disappeared from this thread, how long would it be before someone reached out to me?
20 days later, you were the 1st one ;)
Aside from the regular ups and downs in life, I am fine. Thanks for asking. :)
How are you and your family? Any plans for the holidays?
That was a really great ending to that game though. Steeler's game, not so much.

I got this texted to me at work...Mom was watering the plants and put the container down for a moment. Note: she has a water fountain right there.

Don't leave a cup of water unattended in my house. Gidget loves to drink from cups. She also loves the water dispenser on the fridge. When she hears someone getting water, she scampers over and stands on her hind legs with her paws on the fridge. I will usually take the water I have put in a cup and pour it in a water bowl that is right there. We also have a fountain not far away, but she loves the fridge water the best. :hilarious: She also walks into the shower when someone turns the water on. This cat loves water and doesn't mind getting wet.

The US is an anomaly. Most countries have banned drug commercials.

I do remember being like eight or nine and seeing Viagra commercials. I didn't particularly want to know, so I just ignored it and never asked.

Actually, I still don't want to know so I don't ask....

Yesterday I sang the part of "Joseph" in my church choir's Cantata Concert. That was rewarding. :)
The day before we went to the PNC Bank Arts Center.....the roadway weaving through their massive property is decorated with various light displays. Similar to Hershey which has a drive thru attraction called "Sweet Lights".

My girls had their piano recital yesterday. They did a lovely job. :)
