Thank you! I’ve been passing on all the congratulations to her. She knows you all through stories and appreciates every thought for her through her journey to graduation

She had an awesome Celebration pin by Disney commemorating her graduation. I’ll have to look for it. It was really cute.

Which resort are you heading to this holiday? Hope for warmer weather. We just hit it right. Mid 70s to low 80s. I actually did the Christmas party till midnight in a no sleeved shirt. For the last 3 years our December and January trips were fridged and a month ago in November I was an icicle. The warmth this past week was so welcoming
Actually we're going to Hilton Head. Our passes aren't good Christmas week, so we're going down there. My grandma is flying down to Charleston on Wednesday; she'll spend a few days visiting with my aunt and her son (my cousin) and his family, and then my aunt and Grandma will drive down to Hilton Head and meet up with us for the week. Then my Grandma will spend a few more days with my aunt and then fly up on New Year's Eve.

Thanks! I did two semesters with the hope of a Graphic Design major then got hit with a really bad case of depression, and pretty much dropped out of college. I'm hopeful this is a fresh start

We all hit roadblocks. Happy to hear you are on the path to happiness and rebooted your educational goals. Proud of your determination as you should be also. You Go! Always here to cheer you on.

I thought you guys spent the holidays elsewhere from WDW I just couldn’t remember where. I’m not a fan of WDW during the Hoilday 2 weeks. We’ve done it a few times and it is a challenge at best. And freakin expensive.

I'm not really awake. You don't see me.

It was a record breaking sales day at both stores outside of a major event day. The new location actually did better than my "golden child" location both Friday and Saturday, which is fantastic. I just have to resist over-restocking too much, but also keep the important stuff coming in this week, and do plenty of special orders as needed.

There's an ebayer driving me berserk - he bought two of the same record, but first asked us to take a picture of the actual item (not a stock photo.) My employee obliged, but the guy had already bought the records. Then he responded and said he wanted a close-up picture of each of the four corners on both records.

What?

Nuts.

I said no, they were already packaged up (true.) He went back and forth with emails about how he needed them to be "perfect." You know this is going to be a headache down the line. I offered several times to cancel the order if he wanted, but no.

Anyhoo, around 10PM, I ended up at one of our neighbor businesses, a kava bar, where I go frequently but never show up to their special party nights. Tonight was their holiday party and it was Harry Potter "Yule Ball" themed. (So basically you wear Sunday clothes and throw a cape over it - thanks, Amazon for the $10 cape LOL.) I actually went, it was mostly fun, just got home and going to bed. Probably won't go to another one LOL. I'm not 25 anymore.

T had a b-ball game today, and last night. He’s been in this tournament for 3 weeks now. Finally lost in the final. Came in second place to a team who has never lost a game in 2 years. T’s team lost by 3 points, which is much better than I expected!

Afterwards we went to our annual Wreaths Across America event. We donate a few wreaths to this cause every year. It’s held a specific cemetery in Cincinnati, for graves of military men and women who are no longer here. Veterans and Memorial Day are important, but this cause it to remember and honor them during the Christmas season as well. It’s a really special event and important to both myself and T.

Here’s some photos-

Why didn’t that guy ask questions before he purchased the records? That is what I would do. I am so happy that your stores are doing so well. Great move for you. I know it was scary at first, but it seems to be paying off.

Congratulations on the great sales! I hope they continue to be successful.

A kava bar sounds interesting, I’ve heard of kava when I was in Hawaii but never tried it. 🙂

it’s pretty good, although it’s supposed to be relaxing. Not so much for me anymore. (I’m very weird with meds & substances.)

They make nice flavors at this place. (Plain tastes like dirt.) In keeping with the theme, they made sugar cookie drinks and butterscotch shots. Put the shot into the drink and it’s “butterbeer.” I could only take one of those, lots of sugar.

That's wonderful!

A garden center in my area donates live Christmas trees overseas every year, to some of the troops. :)

How positively thrilling for you!! Way to go, Tony!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :joyfull: So happy to hear that your new store (and older store as well), have been setting some sales records (no pun intended) for you. I think we all know that you work your butt off, and it's great news that your efforts are being justly rewarded.

Hip hip hooray!! Hip hip hooray for Tony!! :D
