The center medallion has yet to be installed, looks like that will be the final piece of decor for the castle

Looks wonderful.
Really like the accent added above the 'Here You Leave...' plaque.

There's a lot going on with this cup, but I will definitely be buying it. My wallet will be very light this summer.

This stunning souvenir vintage stein features whimsical representations of favorite lands and attractions, and is topped with Sleeping Beauty Castle. This plastic stein is lightweight enough to carry around at the park, while being beautiful enough to display on a shelf (which is exactly what I’m planning to do).

Look for the stein, in addition to other specialty food and beverage items when the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration kicks off on May 22.

Cheers to 60 years!

Stuff like that I wonder if they will still be selling them come November when I get out ...or will they just simply not produce enough ...

To be honest I'm a bit disappointed with it, it looks a bit barren. In a few years though I think it will look great once the trees and shrubs have grown in.

So, I've actually walked through this area, and was very familiar with Condor Flats before it.

This is what "barren" looks like...

Grizzly Peak Airfield, on the other hand, is a beautifully landscaped and charmingly themed upgrade to Condor Flats. The trees will grow larger over the next 25 years, but already it looks and feels infinitely better and shadier and lusher than Condor Flats ever did, or ever was going to be able to.

DCA just took another big step forward with Grizzly Peak Airfield. DCA has really become one of Disney's finest theme parks. And yes, I've been to Tokyo.

I never said it doesn't look better than before and I'm well aware what Condor Flats looked like. For an area that is supposed to be a National Park I feel it is still quite barren but will hopefully fill in a bit once the trees and shrubs grow in.

Have to say, I had my fears about the castle, but it looks very good. And all of the decorative Diamond touches look awesome! Can't wait to see them in person! :D :D :D

Any word on if Good Morning America will do live shots from DL before Fri? I'm asking since Micheal's down there now. I'm guessing Fri's a given along with MK's 24 Hours?

Haven't heard anything about Good Morning America (although that doesn't mean they won't be there). Live with Kelly & Michael will be at Disneyland all week - they're filming all 5 episodes over the next couple days, but will be gone before Friday so that the stage setup can be removed for the media party.

Don't worry, it will. It always does. Since 1955. :)

I saw it all in person on Frida afternoon after the sun came out. It looks even better in person, pictures on the Interwebz don't do it justice.

The entire Diamond Celebration décor package around the entire Resort really looks fantastic. Taken in its completed entirety, it's all lush and luxurious and swanky and perfectly fitting to a class act like Disneyland USA.

Although, you can tell there's a few pieces still to come. Like the diamond brooch for the front of the Castle, new banners in the Esplanade (the current ones date from 2012, so I assume they'll be swapped), and some other stuff in the Town Square where the Kelly & Michael show have taken over for the weekend.

It's one of the most stunning décor packages I've seen Disneyland do. Ever.

I think I like the 60th decorations more than the 50th ones.

You know, I was thinking the same thing but I didn't want to be the first to say it. The 50th was such a wonderful year, and the park really glistened for its Golden Anniversary and the golden décor was lovely.

But this 60th décor is something truly special. It's just perfect, I think.

I very, very rarely say this... but I think Walt would love it.

Yes, exactly. The gold was beautiful, no doubt, but I've always preferred silver. I also like simplicity, and I feel like the 60th decorations are simpler than the 50th ones, yet still get the same job done.
