Pretty sure Disney is still referring to Paint the Night. If Disneyland were getting a new day parade (Soundsational will be just four years-old this year), I would believe Disney would have announced it with the other new entertainment offerings.
Paint the Night is all cast has been in rehearsals since months ago. They could be looking for more, or this audition may be for something else, even if it isn't a full-blown parade. My money's on the latter.

This is the first time Disneyland's held more auditions for a parade/show that's already started production. It could be for something else, but for a new day parade? Highly unlikely.

OK, this may or may not be related to the 60th,but, it sure looks interesting. Just checked DL's online calendar and starting the last week in April, a few nights a week DL closes at 7:30. Thoughts?

I noticed this yesterday as well when i visited the website, checking on Park hours that week i am in town to visit.
I also noticed those two days and their shorter hours. Dates are Tues the 28th and Thurs the 30th.
It made me raise an eyebrow, so i checked to see if any AP Events were happening i missed hearing about.
Have not heard of anything yet.

On previous visits, i have had a few times when the Park had shorter hours and closed early to honor Cast Member anniversaries.
Disney would throw a in-Park party for them, complete with fireworks later in the evening.
Could be something for CMs, but i found it odd it was closed for two nights that week.
They also sometimes hold private corporate events or parties ( WDI nights, etc ).

Could it be for in-Park rehearsals for the upcoming Shows perhaps?
At WDW, Cast would do full in-Park rehearsals late at night (1am, 2am, etc.)and pyro shows would be fully run as well.
The land situation is different at DLR however, where i am aware of strict restrictions set down by the city of Anaheim regarding late night pyro launching.

My guess is those dates are Cast or Corporate Events.

While parade casts can indeed rehearse in the middle of the night, fireworks rehearsals have to happen earlier. I have no idea what's going on on those particular April evenings, but if they do any full firework run throughs of the new Forever show, they would have to be at a decent hour (likely before 10pm, but I don't know the specific regulation).

The thing is its' not just those April nights. It starts that week and continues a couple of nights a week until May 19th. May 20th's hours comes out tomorrow and hopefully, the full 24 Hour Event Schedule on Fri and the start of the regular 60th schedule(I'm assuming) on Sat.
If I didn't know better, I'd say those nights look like party nights, but that can't be it. Unless DL comes/came up with a 60th party fast! Did DL have weird Hours before the 50th?(Not counting May 4th because they were closed) I remember that RDCT and POD soft opened during normal hours before the 50th, but that would extend hours depending on sunset.

Right, and that's what I meant to say. Most likely for another minor offering.

EDIT: Whoops! Just saw the above post! So it's the Inside Out pre-parade, then?

Dooney and Bourke bags for the celebration...the second bunch is way too purple for me, but I love the first bunch. These will be popular, no doubt.

!??! Please not Marvel in WOC... PLEASE.

It's been known for quite a while. The next item up for discussion... will Star Wars make the final cut as well.

I'm not holding out much hope for my dream of having the intro and exit be similar.

My wife has already called me on the Dooney bags. You'd think she'd have enough by now (she's got like 6 of them now)... but every time I think I'm out... they pull us back in.

If Olszewski would ever get around to making a matching set of park "weenies" like Spaceship Earth, ToL, and Carthay... I'd be in deep trouble.

Interesting...that time block.
Perhaps they are just saving some payroll closing earlier those evenings.
Also gives them some evenings to work on the Park after the busy Spring Break season which is usually over by that last week in April.

Would be neat if it turned out to be something else...as i will be around for two of those early closing evenings.
