Jaamboo everyone and welcome to my very first ever trip report!

This trip took place from Monday, June 18th-Saturday, June 23rd. I did write a PTR which you can read here if you really want.. http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/senior-trip-2012-2-years-in-the-making-ptr.831186/

This trip was a high school graduation celebration that we thought of when we were only sophomores in high school. We never actually thought we’d follow through with the plans or that it would ever happen, but look at that.. 3 years have come and gone and we’re already back from our vacation.. I guess that’s good because it shows that we’ve stayed close friends
Here’s (from left to right) the cast of this trip. Jill, Myself (Rachel), Jamie, and Annie.

(While we were waiting for a Hollywood Studios bus on our first night there. Sorry we had to represent our favorite Blackhawks! )

Now, like I said, this is the first trip report that I’ve written so please excuse my newbie storytelling/pictures and sorry in advance for any spelling/grammatical errors..
With that being said I really hope you all enjoy my trip report and have as much fun reading about our trip as I will reminiscing about it!

I have to follow you on instagram! Its seriously my favorite thing right now lol. Too bad about the ToT picture oh welll I guess you guys will just have to go back and get another one! lol I love ToT!! I also love taking the boat to EPCOT and EMH- my family went in 2007 and we stayed at the Swan & Dolphin and I loved it because we would be at the hotel at night and just like hmmm I want to go ride ToT and we would get on the boat and go! also in 2007 they had these cool neon plastic bracelets for night EMH so you didn't have to keep showing your card, I miss that! And I also love how you guys go to multiple parks in one day- thats my favorite

Yeah I always just call it a Pandora bracelet because that's like the style but sooo many jewelry stores have their own version of it so I was just like you can get me the least expensive but nicest, I'm not ready to commit to one set of charms to have to buy!! I will have to look into the Brighton one then, I was also thinking about zales because I like them and they seem to have good sales.

We totally are! sports are fun! its cool you play volleyball, its not very big in this area. I like how you like the bears if they are in the superbowl i want them to win because I love bears lol. My teams are Devils, Yankees, Giants, and Knicks (I guess I'm not terribly into NBA) my NCAA bracket is always all Big East teams haha. I'm soo surprised Devils did so well Brodeur is heartbreaking to watch because he was sooo amazing at one point and he makes these great saves but misses the easy ones. I'm very surprised Parise left- there was an interview and he was asked if he would go to the Rangers he
responded 'No,' and added, 'Don't try to get a headline out of it.' so idk I thought he'd be loyal. Jeter is my favorite yankee and I always thought of Parise of the Devil Jeter equivalent

Are you following me on instagram?! I LOVE that app! Haha! Yeah that's very true though. Just more of a reason to go back! I stayed at the Dolphin with my mom one time and I did LOOVVE how accessible HS and EPCOT were! One night we walked back from EPCOT and then sat on a bench in between The Beach Club and the Dolphin and we got to watch Illuminations perfectly and then walk back to our room with NO crowds to deal with! I miss those bracelets! They were so much easier then having to show your card every time (because one night my shorts didn't have back pockets so it was really annoying to keep it in my looser front pockets..) and they were a nice little souvenir. Haha!
Yeah I guess my neighbor told me that she was able to get some charms at a craft store to put on her bracelet? AND she got me a little suitcase to put on my bracelet as a graduation present! But definitely look into Brighton I love their stuff! Any of those stores will be awesome though, let me know what you end up going with!
I LOVE sports! I kind of want to do something with sports (broadcaster, interviewer?) in the future! Thanks, I love volleyball! I've been playing it for 9 years now. Aw really?! Yeah I love our Bears. I'm not extremely into the NBA because a team could be loosing by like 40 points, but then come the 4th quarter they're somehow winning? I feel like they half-butt everything sometimes.. but I still like watching it though! I think I was pulling for North Carolina, but ya know, that didn't really work out. Haha! That's exactly whatI thought of Brodeur too! I was kind of shocked that both Suter AND Parise went to the Wild. Yeah Jeter and Parise are definitely equivalents! Haha! My favorite baseball player is Gordon Beckham, he's from Georgia so he's got the cutest southern accent!

Awesome TR so far!! I must say, of the years of flying to Orlando, every single time I try to spot WDW from our descent and I never have! I really like that you captured those pics!

Can't wait to keep following along. These TR's really help pass the time for my upcoming trip!

OMG!!!!!! I must know where you found the plush brer rabbit,I have been looking for a few years and can't find one anywhere,I checked ebay but people wanted rediculous amounts of moulah on there!!!

I wish I could tell you that I got it recently, but I actually got it at the Splash Mountain store (to the right once you come up the stairs from the SM entrance) when I was in 7th grade. Soo 5 years ago? I'm sorry!

I swear... Pascal keeps sneaking down to Disney when I'm not looking! Sheesh! Dan and I need to keep a better eye on him...

speaking of Dan, he loves that Pirates shirt (I showed him your picture hehe), so I think he's going to make me get it on the next trip.

This is my playing TR catch up... I love your cute shirts, I need to now eat at Ohana (I fail at this apparently), I think we only saw the graduation ears at the one cart upon entering MK (I look for them every year for some reason), and I'm craving a tower ride right now.

Thank you! Yes you do need to eat at Ohana (and a lot of other places apparently..) Aw ya know we never looked there cause I figured they wouldn't have them, but watch they probably did.... I want my tower SO BAD right now!

Updating today! Sorry since it's taken like 2 weeks to get an update from me I feel like.... Haha!

I can totally relate to you leading the pack around Disney and making transportation errors. I was at DTD with two of my girlfriends who had never been to WDW before and had planed to bus straight to HS for our ADR at 50's Primetime after a little shopping. I brought us to the bus stop in the Westside thinking there would be a bus to the parks. We walked down the line of bus stops to find that there was no stop for Hollywood Studios. So, in my crazy uninformed mind, I think that the buses to the parks must only be at the Marketplace stop. We walk all the way over to Marketplace, down the strip of bus stops, and still no HS bus stop. Embarrassed, I finally asked one of the bus drivers what the fastest way there was, and ended up busing to POP (where we were staying) and to HS from there. Luckily we were right on time for our ADR so it was not a problem, just sucks when you think you know what's best and it doesn't pan out.

OMG! So yes you know EXACTLY what I went thru! Like you had good intentions and thought you knew the right thing and then it's like "What the heck Disney when did you change that?!" Haha! Well at least I'm not alone in trying to guide people to a park a different way and failed.

First I have to say Congrats to you girls!

Second, I love this trip report! I don't get on here too much,but your trip report is keeping me interested so i keep checking for more, can't wait for the rest!

Transporation at WDW can be the WORST sometimes. You think they would have a plan of action where since Epcot was open late, they would have more busses going to and from DHS and MK! Sheesh!!!!! lol

That burger looks really yummy! I love burgrs and if they have onion ring type things on them, that's even better!!! lol

Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking too! But noo we saw like 50 Animal Kingdom buses and we were all like "Animal Kingdom has been closed since 8 and it's 10 now...."
Yes it was DELICIOUS! I'm craving it right now!

SO sorry that I haven’t updated in a week.... But since I have less than a month until I leave for school and this summer is just FLYING, I’m trying to jam pack my days with friends and family. Leaving me no time to work on my TR. I will try to do better from here on out though, Girl Scout promise!

Day 3- ¡Vamos a un safari!

So today our alarms were set for 6:15am, but of course I turned mine off somehow. Next thing we know Annie gets out of the shower and finds us all still asleep and says “Umm guuys.... would you like to get up anytime soon?” So we all JUMPED out of bed and got ready because Animal Kingdom was having the EMH today.

We had planned on getting out the door by 7 since we didn’t know what the bus situation would be like, but we ended up getting out of our room at about 7:10.

I did Jilly’s hair and was pretty excited because I had NEVER braided bangs that perfectly before! Must’ve been the Disney magic in the air.

Jill’s ready to go! Wearing a shirt fit for Animal Kingdom non the less.

What a beautiful view to wake up to.

I was also VERY proud of the wrap around braid that I did to Annie’s hair at the bus stop! I was her personal braider for the week. I didn’t mind though!

So on our way to the turnstiles Jamie says “Shoot. I forgot my room key card!”. And since it was EMH she needed it. So we acted very sneaky (and probably illegally) and once I showed my room key to the CM I whipped it behind my back and Jamie secretively snatched it from my hands. Since the CMs don’t really check the names we figured we’d be ok. We were NOT about to go allll the way back tot he room for that! Haha! We’re just lucky that since it was a morning EMH that we wouldn’t need to show our keys at the entrance to every ride!

Luckily, we all got thru the turnstiles, made our way thru the exotic pathway and came upon this wonderful view.

We got let in a little bit before 8 and made a B-Line for Expedition Everest.
So I grabbed everyone’s park tickets and went to go get FPs while the girls waited in line since the line was backed out into the walkway, but that was just because everyone had just gotten to the entrance all at once.

The line turned out to be a walk on and we actually sat in the 3rd and 4th rows.

Then it was time to make our way over to Africa to go on a safari!

The BEST part of the safari....
So at first we didn’t see any lions out. The male wasn’t in his usual sleeping spot. I thought to myself “O this is a shame..”, but as we rounded the corner he was in the back and right as our truck drove by he started to ROAR! It was very cool!

Now I have to say I miss the old safari. I know the zebras will be a cool addition and I usually always trust Disney, but I will never forget the safari being my favorite as a little kid because of the crazy ending where you got whipped around! That was the best sitting in the very back and feeling like you were going to fall out of the vehicle because when the driver would hit a bump my butt would come off the seat! This time it was just a leisurely drive through construction, but that will change soon enough! I do understand though how some people will like seeing the zebras better because now the safari won’t be so random. Like “Hey, we’re driving around seeing some animals. WHOA NOW WE’RE GETTING POACHERS?! ”

So with the loving sports thing you should look into Sports Management or Exercise Science, I almost majored in Sports Management. Sports Management with minor in Communication would also work really well together. I actually volunteered to work the football games at Rutgers, I sat in the Press Box and would pass out the game stats and then the next year I answered the phones to reporters who asked for the score and stuff so that was cool.

I agree about the NBA only the last 5 minutes matter! Thats why Jeter's awesome! He's always been a Yankee Hopefully your beckham will stay with your team!

Oh I have been going every year since I was 6 years old, so I have never ever gone this long between trips but it was the circumstances at the time but now I'm almost there to go again!!!! I have never done a trip report before.. I love reading them, so I know I'd love to do one myself!!

So after not saving Little Red, we headed back over to Everest, but first we decided to go pick up some fastpasses for Kali River Rapids since it was starting to warm up outside.

Then it was time for round two thru the Forbidden Mountain.

Notice the parents yelling at their kid over my left shoulder. Haha!

Even though we couldn’t really even see the Yeti we still love you Everest!

After riding Everest we still had some time until our FPs for Kali were good so we decided to go grab some breakfast at Pizzafari.

Jill and her love of cats (she’s got 3 at home).

I’m proud to say that all that food was NOT all for me!

We all got the breakfast bounty platters. We loved them!

Great update. AK looked packed for EMH.

I have to say from a guys point of view and personal experience. That riding in the back of the safari truck and getting air time is fun. When you land it can hurt oh so bad. (enter laying on ground in fetal position smiley)

Hey girl! I'm so late on this - luckily you're not updating speedily (I know how hard it is to write a TR when you're in school, so I can't imagine how you're doing it in the summer when you're trying to see everyone before you head to school!).

I am LOVING this TR - your matching shirts are just unreal. I always love when families have their matching shirts on - cutest. Unfortunately, the only thing matching about my fam when we go to Disney are Mom and Dad's matching packs and we're too many trips in to start wearing matching shirts now. Dad's too cool for that $h!t.

LOVE MY SHOUT OUT! I was so sad that night - all your updates had me dying to be there - and I was only seeing pictures and not the whole story! Killer. But so good! I wish I had instagram - but it's probably good that I don't, I'm bad enough with Twitter.

How much was your charm? I have my DIsney Cruise one and Carly got me Cinderella's carriage last time they were away without me (for my birthday) - despite my bracelet not being all Disney, it looks it! Other than those two I have a dangly shoe charm (Cinder's slipper?) and a tea cup charm that Carly gave me (for all our sisterly bonding on the Mad Tea Party) and a heart.. yep.. it's love.

Until you almost get thrown out - that happened on our May '11 trip with Erica - we literally almost fell out and met up with Pumba. I almost threw up.
