How long are we expecting this redo to take? I think that could indicate how extensive the work will be.

This is great in theory until the app crashes (which it does a lot). The app can barely process G+ purchases some days, best not to integrate something like car design into an undependable app.

Every time I've been on this iteration on the ride, the car hasn't shown up during the ride, so I imagine the reliability will be even.

I’m not expecting a ton, if any AAs to be added, but it would be nice to have a handful of animated figured as an homage to what was the most AA heavy Epcot pavilion

My personal opinion is a year, especially since there won’t be a new track put down.

I suspect they'll slip in a few bars of an electronica version of the song, but more likely someone's just going to drop the words "It's fun to be free" into the new script.

Could parts of the ride be slowed down or possibly retracked to accommodate more detailed scenes? My mind goes to the capability/brake check portion of the ride. I assume it's technically possible but would they actually do it?

I am kind of thinking this will basically be WOM 2.0 with maybe a “time traveling car” that takes you through the creation of transportation but for the “Transportation of today” it would be the outside section, then will end with “the future”.

That sounds more like the original EPCOT design team attractions.....Which clearly the current team no longer does. I would love them to do something more like that, but I think it is going to be a commercial for GMs Electric vehicles ... not a grand fantastic original EPCOT experience...

They're likely filled with all of the Buzz and Woody animated figures they're adding. Not AAs. GM doesn't have that kinda money.
