@spacemt354 do they have to be new attractions or could we use one of them to update/retheme the decor around the rest of the park to bring it closer to Disney standards (Even though I know we couldn't redo every ride, but updating/changing the general theming and repainting to create a higher quality experience over all)

Or just attractions and the surrounding bits?

The focus should be on the two attractions if you have surplus budget left over per park (and also have the time) then feel free to touch up the surroundings.

Here's a little inspiration for everyone! :D Some vids of the best-themed non-DisneyVersal coasters I know of. Great theming and extreme intensity can live side-by-side, and in parks without those Disney bucks. Enjoy!

Taron in Phantasialand. It's an Intamin Blitz, the same ride type as Cheetah Hunt and Maverick (one of the world's top-rated coasters). This ride is jaw-dropping!

Also in Phantasialand is Black Mamba, a B&M invert. Phantasialand is just a gorgeous-looking park overall. But Black Mamba is ultimately merely a ripoff of -

Nemesis at Alton Towers. This ride has an extensive Aliens-style backstory about space monsters. Note the waterfalls of blood!

Baron 1898 at Efteling, a dive coaster with an extended queue pre-show to rival Tower of Terror.

Atlantis Adventure at Lotte World. Granted, the entire park is a Disneyland knockoff.

One area where I think we could improve on these marvelous examples is by justifying the track. Make it in-universe. For instance, do a wood coaster as like scaffolding around ancient ruins. Subway trains. The clockwork of a clock tower. Et cetera. There is a TON we could do with Disney-level coasters, and I'm really excited about this! :joyfull:

Day 2 Recap

A really productive day! We've settled on our four parks: Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Kings Dominion, and Carowinds.

Park primers are now available here (slight work in progress still), put together by our "resident experts" on each park. Thanks guys!

The next task will involve figuring out what everyone wants to help with. If a particular park inspires you, speak out. Maybe you're just interested in doing a themed roller coaster in any location? Or a family ride? Do you like the IPs available, from Looney Tunes to DC to Peanuts? Do you want to do an extreme thrill ride with a Disney-owned IP? Do you want to do some Roller Coaster Tycoon or Planet Coaster creations? There's plenty of options, and you don't have to do just one park or concept!

For IPs I was thinking that in the Six Flags we can exploit DC and Looney Toones, as having Marvel & DC in the same park might be a little odd. However in the SF located close to San Francisco we could potentially use something TRON, Inside Out, Muppets, or Big Hero 6 related? And maybe in the other two we can use Disney IPs, like Star Wars & Marvel? However I think we can try to go for a balance (;)) between IP rides and Non IPs?

I said I'd like to do some RCT, but the thought of a Wonder Woman or a Justice League E-ticket dark ride really inspired me.

My coaster knowledge is extremely limited but I'm happy to work on anything and learn something. Even if it's just to work with more experienced folks on a coaster and do some extras like helping with any maps, queue, art, etc.

I grew up on the original looney toons so have a soft spot for it, and love anything dc/marvel/SW related.

Continuing with my trend in this competition as working as Mentor I don't mind helping people out with Coasters but I don't think we are gonna get 4 well modeled coasters on PC (It's just time consuming and I'm gonna me taking a personal Vacation on Thursday/Friday).

I'm gonna head up the Kings Dominion aspect and I have a few ideas. I'm thinking about bringing back some of the concepts from Disney America and putting it into the Old Virginia Section of Kings Dominion, and than a proper New Thrill ride.

Question though.. Do we want each land to have something unique for each land Which will spread our resources a bit.. OR do we go in True Disney fashion and duplicate some of the attractions for multiple parks? Like each Park have 1 unique Attraction and than One East and West Coast Park share an attraction and same with the other two parks. This means we can dedicate more time for those attractions to be really fleshed out and it's something Disney would do.

Whatever we do, I think we should take advantage of this unique challenge to do some really unique things. Disney level attractions for IPs and themes that could never be at a Disney park. If we use Disney IPs, thrills and extremes that could never be at a Disney park.

If we use Marvel, it isn't to build the same kinda ride we could plop into California Adventure. If we use Looney Tunes, we make a Haunted Mansion level experience.

We gotta make full use of our crossover potential here. Just like *spoiler* and *spoiler* when *spoiler*
