Great ideas from everyone lately! I'll have more fully formed thoughts later.

For now, @TheOriginalTiki, as an alternate IP proposal for Taivan's Jungleland, what about Zootopia? Lion King? Jungle Book? Basically bring in the fan ideas for Animal Kingdom which might work better in Discovery Kingdom? (With of course the potential to clone these ideas back to Florida later ;).) Keep the park's animals and its legacy, and add some IP dark rides to that.

In general, I love @Voxel 's proposal to use each park's remaining budget (after our two headliner attractions) for general park improvements to both placemaking and logistics. Magic Mountain could certainly use some of that love (like a better entrance location and more transport to the top of the mountain).

For Magic Mountain I'd really like to design a Gatekeeper/Fury 325 style "Front entrance" coaster that flies over the main gates and makes an immediate impression on you as soon as you enter the parks. As it stands now, Magic Mountain's front gate is notoriously compared to a prison, haha. Once you're actually in the park you get a great view of the Revolution loop with a bunch of fountains as well as the park's current "front gate" coaster Full Throttle starring you in the face, but that front gate really needs to be completely redone.

I don't know where "Taivan's Jungle Land" is coming from lol. I'm assuming it's an auto-correct. It's Tava, not Taivan (makes me think were talking about the Collector haha) out of those IPs I definitely think The Lion King would be the best fit. It maintains the Africa setting and the park has a pair of lions right around the corner. Plus it's an IP that very much justifies a dark ride treatment but has never gotten one. Jungle Book might be a bit too far out of region for most of the animals surrounding the area and Zootopia poses the same problem as it would in Animal Kingdom of the setting being too urbanized to truly fit into the naturalistic ascetic of the rest of the park.

Someone suggested a dinosaur ride for Discovery Kingdom earlier, and I think the park's white water raft ride would be a great way to include that theme. There were actually rumors way back in the early 2000's that the dinosaur statues in the now defunct Dinosphere 3D attraction queue would be relocated to the raft ride but that never materialized. It's actually one of my favorite layouts for a river raft ride and has a great, spread out area to work with. It's a very kinetic ride that takes full advantage of being in the middle of the park as you can see it from a lot of different angles. Here's a POV of the current ride for reference.

So one thing I noticed was that in Six Flag’s Magic Mountain: They had a ride called Green Lantern: First Flight. In Chicago, we received a clone of that ride with one key difference - it was called “The joker” and had purple and green for its primary colors. It works so much better as the Joker because -a) The ride is terrifying and b) it makes sense that the Joker would try to put you in a spinning death machine.

Also Superman: Escape from Krypton looks like... a joke. In Chicago, we have a ride called Superman: Ultimate Flight in which you are on your bellies and it feels like you are flying as Superman would (although below you there is nothing cool - just trees).

lol, trust me between the two in Magic Mountain Green Lantern is the joke. That coaster is genuinely the single WORST ride I've ever been on and there's many that share my opinions. Not sure how much better the spinning is on the Joker but my god at Magic Mountain the ride is ridiculously rough and you'll be lucky to get one full upside down flip out of the thing. Superman at Magic Mountain certainly isn't a flagship coaster of the park anymore by any means but as someone who's never experienced Top Thrill Dragster or Kingda Ka it's the closest I've gotten to an experience like that so I still love it. The main problem with Superman is the launch is incredibly inconsistent. Some times you get almost all the way up the tower, other times you're lucky to hit the half way point.

Also let's stay clear of another flying coaster in Magic Mountain since the park already has the best flying coaster in existence.

The Joker is the exact same ride experience though brand new so no real issues with spinning - and I enjoyed it a lot. It was the first coaster that I was actually scared on in a long time! :)

I’m currently flying over Magic Mountain on my six flags app. I think that it’s weird that the Superman ride isn’t in the either the DC universe or the Metropolis land (which are considered separate on the app at least).

Well to be fair I think the location of Superman works as the Fortress of Solitude is the main theme of the ride so it actually makes sense that the fortress would be up on a mountain overlooking the actual DC area. The placemaking when you're actually in the park works a lot better than if you're observing it on a map. The real thing that's out of place up there is the whole Samurai Summit part, haha. Ninja's a great ride but it could easily be rethemed to Bizarro or something to complete the Superman theme on the top of the mountain.

I'll pan out my idea more when I get home. I have a few major concepts I just gotta come up with the Quintisental Disney Attraction.

One change I'd love to make for Magic Mountain is to move the entrance. As it is, you have to walk like 1/4 mile from the parking lot to reach it and, as Tiki explains, it's ugly and prison-like anyway. I would be in favor of a new entry alongside Twisted Colossus into the Screampunk District. Possibly this would require relocating Scream - it's just in a parking lot right now, and placing it in the old entry complex area could be better all around.

Green Lantern I refuse to ride. It is ROUGH, among the worst ride experiences ever! Right behind it is the old Tidal Wave shoot-the-chutes, which is crumbling into dust. Those two can provide space for a nice new DC experience, like the Green Lantern enclosed launched coaster Kevin proposed.

Redoing Superman as a TTD/Kingda-Ka strata coaster...Tiki, of course! :D With full theming and queue prestory! Riders are evacuated from Krypton as it explodes and taken to earth. Enclose the upwards launch section to simulate escaping Krypton's atmosphere, and leave the top hat element and the drop exposed to simulate entry into Earth's atmosphere. Do separate unloading like TTD, perhaps in a Fortress of Solitude.

And as Tiki states, I'm fine with Superman on top of the mountain away from DC/Metropolis. Retheme Viper as Bizarro, do something with the vacant-yet-iconic Sky Tower (polercoaster?).

Ninja is the coaster next to Superman that should be rethemed to Bizarro. Viper should probably be removed entirely, haha. It's an icon at the park and I personally still have fun riding it but it NEVER has a line and is infamous for its roughness.

I'm off to work. Can't wait to see all the progress when I get back. Already loving this project!

Oh dang! I know better than that, I rode both of 'em yesterday!

Though I've been confusing their names since childhood, TBH. Sometimes I've accidentally said "Ninjiper." :bored:

Some ideas I have, not sure towards which park they can oriented.

A Wonder Woman themed Water Thrill Ride, it’s like the only successful thing the DCEU has produced so far, and I’m sure it would be a hit.

A Muppet themed land, with a family friendly coaster, some play areas and flat rides.

A Star Wars Thrill Based Land, as SW:GE is definitely more family oriented, I could see the Vekoma Coaster that goes from sitting to flying position working perfectly!

And also some sort of Pixar Pier, but done correctly, just to prove that there were better possible executions for it...

Should have gotten a B&M ;) (I really hope there's at least a couple Coasterstudios fans in this thread who are appreciating my references)

In all seriousness, beings as though we have the luxury of working with world class coaster parks, I think we should take the opprotunity to go with the more high end coaster manufactures out there. The RMCs, Gravity Groups, Macks, Intamins of the world. I honestly don't know why Disney insists on mostly sticking with Vekoma for their coasters.

Throwing this out there, a highly themed RMC could be incredible.

I definitely agree that some sort of highly themed WW attraction is the way to go!

Perhaps a Wonder Woman RMC that's fully immersed in the theme? We've already got the Wonder Woman RMC raptor coming to Fiesta Texas this year so she would fit naturally as the company's first fully themed experience. The only question is if we would want to do another Raptor, a T-Rex (larger Raptor prototype), or a standard RMC wood/steel hybrid. My vote would be to go the traditional hybrid approach. After Steel Vengeance crushes all the records this year, going the themed route would be a bold new direction for RMC to go in given it's doubtful the SV records will be broken for some time.

A SFX Coaster from Dynamic Attractions could also be interesting to work with! Those seem incredible, they are a whole new thrilling experience! :D

Totally agreed about doing an RMC. I’ve been pushing a hybrid redo of Carowinds’ Hurler which includes theming added. They’re our only park without an RMC hybrid already. Theme?

If doing a single rail, T-Rex has double capacity of Raptor. DK maybe shouldn’t get one though with Railblazer coming to nearby California’s Great America.

I still love this idea of retheming the Hurler.
