So why didn't the alliance arrange for 3 of its votes to go for Ciara? That's the way it's been played in the past to account for a possible idol.
Same, I really don't understand why they didn't split the vote when they pretty much ALWAYS do otherwise. Maybe they weren't sure that all of the votes were locked in? It's possible that there's a bit more to the story than we saw in that case...

That was my guess, that there's just not enough trust in the alliance to try to arrange anything that's at all complex.

LOVED the episode this week! As long as it's not against my favorite players, I love idol blindsides. Plus, I'm a fan of Wentworth and Ciera also.

I liked Savage early in the game, but once he got on the bottom he lost his cool. I thought he believed to be in so much more control than he is. And I think Jeremy lead him to believe he was in control, when I really believe Jeremy is.

Next week should be interesting. Do they stick with the alliance, or will this shake things up? And looking at the previews, there will be a mad hunt for the idol, as well as a potential advantage during the immunity challenge.

Also, I love next week's challenge.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I understand Ciera and Abi, but why Wentworth? I mean, aside from being the reason Savage is gone.
I didn't like her from the beginning. Can't remember a single thing about her first season.

You may have noticed that I am generally more partial to the male players. Lately, most of the Survivor girls are all one of a kind - catty, lazy, entitled, and all "girl power" one minute, back-stabbing each other the next.

Same is true of the Big Brother girls, for the most part.

I'm warming to Joe, finally. Now that my initial top 3 have all gone buh-byes, my revised top 3 are: Jeremy, Keith, Wiglesworth (nostalgia), with Joe in fourth.

You can keep Spencer. I just don't get his mass appeal. *shrug*

Wentworth was overshadowed in her first season by her dad, Dale. She was really forced to play his game, just by association to him, and he dug himself a (sink)hole, which she fell into. Of course, the entire cast was weak in her season.

I love the way she's playing. She seems to have a fire in her that I admire. Same with Ciera, although I can see where you come from in disliking her.

And I tend to be more partial towards guys in Survivor as well, as all of my top favorites are male. But I really like Wentworth, and I loved Parvati too.

They need to do another guys vs girls season, but this time with NO (drop your buffs) mixing the teams up prior to merge; and of course, with NO COLTON!

Was that the second time they did it? Because they did it in season 6 with Rob Cesternino, but no Colton in that season.

Yeah they did it twice. But the second time (Colton's) they pretty much only did it because of the One World twist where all tribes lived on the same beach and it would be easier to distinguish the tribes.

I haven't gotten to One World, yet. I didn't really care for the first time they did it in the Amazon. Seemed liked a very forced story.

According to Survivor Wiki, they've actually done it three times: Amazon, Vanuatu, and One World.

I would like to see it carry through all the way to merge though - no mixing things up just because the tribes may/may not become ridiculously lopsided.

Vanuatu is one of my least favorite seasons. It was boring. But yes, they did it then too I remember, now that I looked up the cast. I remember hating Ami, but then liking her in Fans vs Favorites.

Oh yeah, Vanuatu completely slipped my mind. That and a few other early-middle seasons I don't remember that well :p
But I agree with @PUSH, it always feels like a forced story. Plus, I always think that men and women together makes the dynamic much more interesting.
