I do think that if Albert didn't win immunity, he may have been whacked. They do see him as a threat. Coach is doing a masterful job orchestrating this, just like Boston Rob last time. I do think he needs to win an immunity challenge though. They will realize they have limited time to whack him or he will take it all.

I have a feeling it will be a cold time on Exile for Cochrane.

Oz is on one heck of a Colby-esqe roll too. I am thinking they will want to send a strong player to try and get him out or they will have ZERO chance at winning it Oz makes it back in.

And Rick is alive and actually speaks...who would have thunk it.

Ponderosa footage is up on cbs.com.

I'm curious to see what the Ozzy/Cochran RI challenge will be - so far the challenges have been mostly recycled from prior seasons (and even this season!) - it would be nice to see something new for a change.

What the heck did Brandon do (or almost do) in his past??! I am convinced he saw Whit looking all pretty and started hearing voices or having flashbacks and then had his tribal breakdown. Similar to how Mikayla's presence made him all nutty. He is definitely one scary fella.

As useless as she has been - I am hoping Edna wins immunity so we can see the others finally make a move!

After this many weeks...Edna has FINALLY done something!!!
Well, she cried and whined to Coach...but it's still something! :sohappy:

p.s. And a grand farewell to Cochran. Gotta hand it to him for giving Ozzy a much bigger run for his money than I had expected. So kudos to him for that.

Something else. Am I the only one who finds the tears and emotion during family reunion time to be a bit overdone? I understand the contestants are tired and have been away from their families. But it's only been a few weeks on a game show, not doing a 2 yr tour of duty in Iraq.

I can understand the happiness, hugs, etc. But some of the crying and OVER emotion seems a bit much for a show that hovers around 30 days.

Jumping out of lurking on this thread to say - YES!! Oh my word I have always been astounded at the breakdowns. It's 39 days!!

The producers definitely seem to be going out of their way to cast emotionally unstable people lately.

I thought it was a bit harsh to have Ozzy choose the love recipients - and then host them at his "home" without even a glimpse of his family member. Although Ozzy didn't seem to care...

I thought it hilarious that it was spastic movements, and not strategy, that kept Cochran in that challenge.

I thought Cochrane had him...so close. But can the previews be right that Edna takes Oz out? There's no way that they would give it away. It must be that she thinks she has it, but doesn't. Just creative editing to get people to tune in.

And Holy Cow...does Brandon's dad totally remind you of Russell or what? Seemed to be pushy just like him. I really would have liked to see Russell be Brandon's loved one, though. Would have shaken things up quite a bit.

Everyone knows if Oz makes it back in, he wins. I'm still shocked that Cochrane or Edna didn't make that point and try to push for a reason to send Coach or Albert or Brandon to Exile to take him out. Plus them being the big physical threats.

Ponderosa footage up on CBS site.

There is NO WAY they would show the winner of the RI challenge in a commercial. UNLESS, they know we would think that, and they're just messing with us. Still, I agree - she probably thinks she has it but is dead wrong. They probably also edited it with a clip of Ozzy just starting the challenge, with no blocks for the puzzle in place.

With the way Brandon has been crying/whining so much this season, I doubt Russell would show his face with him right now. Looking back on past seasons when Russell would put down emotionally "weak" contestants, and what he thought of players without a spine...I can only imagine what he's thinking of his nephew's performance.

Russell was the snake...Brandon is the chicken.

True - but I don't believe that at the time the loved ones come to the island that any of the show has been aired yet. He wouldn't know how he was playing at that point.

When Brandon offered Albert his immunity necklace, I think I could hear Russel's outburst of obscenities from here where I'm sitting.

Edit: I take that back. Maybe Brandon knows what he's doing. Saw on a TV spot advertising Sunday's final episode a shot of Brandon back with the tribe...meaning, he beats Ozzy. Maybe this is thrown in from a previous episode before Brandon got voted to RI, and used to keep people guessing. But it did look like a pretty big goof on the network's part, and looks like Brandon gets back in with the other 4.
Meaning if he does in fact beat Ozzy, then for the 2nd season in a row, RI was completely pointless, as the final 5 who planned all along to BE in the final 5...get to the final 5, despite all the happenings at RI.

Update: Just saw yet another TV commercial advertising Sunday's finale...and yes, Brandon is back with the tribe. What the producers were thinking giving this away in TV spots is beyond me, but it certainly has Brandon, Coach, Albert, Sophie, and Rick going head-to-head in an immunity challenge that hasn't happened yet. (Great job, CBS )

Since this is the case, Redemption Island was once again useless as could be. Had Ozzy, or someone else who got voted off early, won their way back into the final-5, then the 4..3.., and into the last round...then RI would have some sort of significance. But just like last season's final 5..4.., RI did nothing whatsoever.

My guess, this will be the last season RI comes into play for the show.

Wow - haven't seen that commercial yet. That's nuts that they made that mistake.

I was hoping it's old footage used to throw off audiences and get them to tune in. But the 2nd commercial showed all 5 competing in some sort of immunity challenge which has yet to air...and Brandon was right there with them. I'm hoping I'm wrong because a). I'd prefer Ozzy to win over Brandon in the RI challenge. And b). I wanted to see RI actually have some use this season in determining the final-5. If Ozzy fails to get back in to the final-5, then RI once again was a pointless side-story.

Once again, it could be a very well planned-out decoy by CBS, making audiences "think" they know who wins the final RI challenge, but I honestly think this one was legit, and a big spoiler goof on the show's part.

As expected, Edna didn't beat Ozzy. Oh well. Would have been cool. According to the Boot list I saw, the preview wasn't wrong and RI was pointless.

Brandon was so DUMB to give up immunity. Strategy or not, you let Albert go and battle on RI. As he said, the game just isn't for him.

I can't wait to hear him on the post game show and if he was hurt by all of the comments about him.

Can't believe another season is just about over.

Edna's Ponderosa footage is up on cbs.com.

I enjoy Survivor. But this season has been less than stellar to say the least. Immunity challenges were recycled from previous seasons or repeats of this season. Rarely a good reward challenge if a reward at all. And I really don't care who wins this season. Like I don't hate anyone. I don't really like anyone either. I despise the idea of Redemption Island. Not just the pointless-ness of it but like its unecessary. Just bring it back to the 2 teams - merge - final 3 - whoever wins immunity picks who goes to the final 2 = vote.

Blah.

Yay!! Ozzie wins against Brandon, RI actually DID something this season. The TV ad's were wrong, I was wrong...the marketing execs at CBS are pure genius!!

Glad to see the Oz back in the game.
