Did Cochran really expect a different outcome?
Something else. Am I the only one who finds the tears and emotion during family reunion time to be a bit overdone? I understand the contestants are tired and have been away from their families. But it's only been a few weeks on a game show, not doing a 2 yr tour of duty in Iraq.
I can understand the happiness, hugs, etc. But some of the crying and OVER emotion seems a bit much for a show that hovers around 30 days.
Jumping out of lurking on this thread to say - YES!! Oh my word I have always been astounded at the breakdowns. It's 39 days!!
I thought Cochrane had him...so close. But can the previews be right that Edna takes Oz out? There's no way that they would give it away. It must be that she thinks she has it, but doesn't. Just creative editing to get people to tune in.
With the way Brandon has been crying/whining so much this season, I doubt Russell would show his face with him right now. Looking back on past seasons when Russell would put down emotionally "weak" contestants, and what he thought of players without a spine...I can only imagine what he's thinking of his nephew's performance.I really would have liked to see Russell be Brandon's loved one, though.

Russell was the snake...Brandon is the chicken.
Update: Just saw yet another TV commercial advertising Sunday's finale...and yes, Brandon is back with the tribe. What the producers were thinking giving this away in TV spots is beyond me, but it certainly has Brandon, Coach, Albert, Sophie, and Rick going head-to-head in an immunity challenge that hasn't happened yet. (Great job, CBS)
Since this is the case, Redemption Island was once again useless as could be. Had Ozzy, or someone else who got voted off early, won their way back into the final-5, then the 4..3.., and into the last round...then RI would have some sort of significance. But just like last season's final 5..4.., RI did nothing whatsoever.
My guess, this will be the last season RI comes into play for the show.
I was hoping it's old footage used to throw off audiences and get them to tune in. But the 2nd commercial showed all 5 competing in some sort of immunity challenge which has yet to air...and Brandon was right there with them. I'm hoping I'm wrong because a). I'd prefer Ozzy to win over Brandon in the RI challenge. And b). I wanted to see RI actually have some use this season in determining the final-5. If Ozzy fails to get back in to the final-5, then RI once again was a pointless side-story.Wow - haven't seen that commercial yet. That's nuts that they made that mistake.
