Well, a nice blindside there. From the previews, it looks like Ozzy is gonna be a whiney crying baby next episode. "I'm now a free agent" was kinda funny.

Like I had said, why go after the girl when they could have blindsided HIM? Stupid move. He still has the experience and knows the game. Get him out if you want to enhance your chances. Did the 2 who voted for Dawn really think Ozzy would trust them after this anyways? It's like they never watched the show before.

Cochrane is a riot. Dude cracks me up. Happy to see him step up and be shown in a more positive light, even with the comments at tribal. Probst sure knows how to stir the pot and get the dirt flowing.

And that Immunity/Reward challenge was NASTY. I almost had the dry heaves from watching it. Seeing all of that fat and grease as they were gnawing on it.

Some excellent camera work in this episode.

Ozzy seemed to have this attitude going in that he was the next version of Boston Rob. While Ozzy may have some of the charm of B.Rob, he has none of the brains. Good call by Jim to see that Ozzy's opinion of what Coach should do would be comparable to what Ozzy would actually do.

I can see why Jim-Dawn-Cochrane targeted Elyse rather than Ozzy. They had to convince one of the other two to flip-flop, and it might have been too tough to get them to vote Ozzy. Voting out Ozzy would have been the better move, but voting out Elyse was better than doing nothing.

Coach and his whole referring to himself in the third person when he found the idol was nauseating.

Man...Christine just keeps holding on. And Elyse, how stupid are you? You win the coin toss and let the other person go first in a challenge where it is the first to knock the pucks off of the table wins...DUH!!! You gave that advantage to Christine.

Jim was so right with Ozzy. Use him to win stuff for the tribe and provide. Then whack him out.

Cochrane...still a trip.

Brandon...CRAZY!!! But entertaining.

It would have been more fun to see Ozzy remain all flipped out and mad about losing Elyse. Make things uneasy around camp. And them knowing he has the idol may not be a bad thing, but I think Jim is gonna hatch a plan to get the idol out of play and take someone out.

I liked seeing that new challenge. Jim's reaction when he hit the last one was great.

Did I see that right, or did Coach really get some sort of spiritual motivation from watching an Adam Sandler movie?

Um...yeah. He a kooky one! The editing job of superimposing the moon (or sun?) over Coach doing his meditations was pretty funny.

I can not believe Ozzy sacrificed himself because he is so overconfident he can win at Redemption. You know they are not going to merge - can the producers would change things on the fly if they had been planning it? What if there is another challenge and no redemption challenge and 3 people duel. If his team loses and sends Cochran then they are down numbers anyhow since only one person will eventually make it back! Next week should be seriously interesting, one way or another.

Well, it's obvious that Ozzy and the people who went to Redemption Island to watch weren't paying attention. You could tell by Christine's comments that she isn't in good with her former tribe. The comments, the little nose-scratching flip off, the scowl on her face when they tried to "encourage" her a challenge before. Anyone paying attention should see that interaction and figure she is going to the other team if she gets back in.

Felt bad for Mikayla. She had made up a bunch of time and was a second away from getting it right. I did like the camera angle when she was building the bridge, though.

As much as I disliked her, I am growing to respect Christine. She's on a Colby type run and hanging in there. She does annoy me still, but is a competitor.

That whole vignette with Coach in the water was cheesey to say the least.

I do miss the old way of reward challenge and then Immunity challenge separate. More chance for conflict that way.

Same here. I really couldn't stand her in the first couple of episodes. She just seemed like a deep-south snob (sorry). But she really did.
Now she is growing on me. She's playing hard, and certainly deserves to still be in this game. Suddenly I find myself wanting to see her go far in this game.

Coach was REALLY, REALLY annoying last night. I actually felt sorry for Brandon during the whole praying to find the Idol scene. He must feel like a total fool, watching what really happened. I am all for creative game-playing, but pretending that the Idol was a gift from God just felt uncomfortable. And then when they won the challenge, and Coach kept yelling at eveyone "On your knees! Now!"

And I think that Ozzy made a really stupid move - although, granted, one that will go down in Survivor history, whichever way it turns out. This season is definitely getting interesting, that is for sure!

Agreed. I couldn't help but think that if someone on that tribe had differing religious beliefs they would be treated as an outcast - and that should NEVER happen. Very uncomfortable.

I'm not too sure God cares much about reality TV challenges, particularly ones in a zero sum game dominated by deception. And if a tribe member were to be ostracized for having unique religious beliefs, that would be fine by me. This game is not played in the real world where someone's personal beliefs are/should be of no concern to anyone else. This game is played in an environment where you must fit in. You need to lie, hide, or downplay any potentially ostracizing difference you have.

Ozzy's move was incredibly stupid. There's always the opportunity of finding the disgruntled 5th or 6th alliance member who may want to jump ship. Ozzy's just not smart enough to find that person and exploit their doubts.

Well, The move paid off for Oz, but then bit him in the booty. Was kinda sad to see Christine go. Can someone explain how Cochrane is a "coward" when he stuck his neck out and actually did something brave by flipping? Maybe not the smartest move, but hardly cowardly. Amazing how Suze Ormann decided not to flip when it actually came down to it. She was all into how mean they were to him, but then wanted to stick with them...huh?

Looks like things get very interesting now. I was hoping they were done with redemption island...oh well.

 I totally couldn't place who she reminded me of - thank you!!

I was confused about the coward remark as well - it's not like he would have been the one going to Redemption if it came down to rocks, right? It would either be Keith or Rick? Too bad Ozzy chose Whitney and not Keith. I find myself rooting for Ozzy's team over Coach's team - I find Brandon, Sophie and Edna unbelievably annoying. Looks like next week things *may* get shaken up. At the very least it will be funny to see the aftermath of tribal.

I'm still waiting on the master strategist of the season to make him/herself known. Maybe Albert.

I wasn't surprised to see Cochran jump ship on his former tormenters. He's not likely to win too many Savaii votes in a final vote, but you never know who he'll be up against and how tarnished their image may be.

I hope Ozzy loses the next Redemption Island challenge, because I find him insufferable. He's on the show for a third time, and he still has zero sense of strategy. Coach has learned a little from his previous seasons, but mostly he's learned how to play to the camera. Blech.

Has Rick said even a single word all season?

No.

I am going to be really annoyed if it's another season where the one team sticks together no matter what and there's no switching alliances or big strategic moves after the merge - not including the jump ship move. Cochran and Edna are not going ANYWHERE. They are strategic gold to whichever person takes them to the end. No Savaii will vote for Cochran and Edna is just useless - no one would vote for her.

Edna is just useless - no one would vote for her.

I know I thought the same thing when it was Russell vs Natalie, but look who got the votes? The Namby pambys because Russell was mean to them. Nat was just as useless, but she was nice. Vecepia was even more worthless than Edna and won it. Sandra didn't do much and won it multiple times.

Great to see the 3 on Redemption who are there. They all treated Cochrane like garbage and were really cocky about everything. Jim was really a jag.

It looks like the Upolu's are very tight, but someone is going to have to make a move sometime.

Why oh why does CMT have to start playing Last of the Mohicans right when Survivor is starting? Now I am torn between 2 forms of awesomeness.

Sorry Coach, Ozzy & friends...I shall see you next week.

Glad to see the 2 who went to the jury are finally out of the game. Didn't care for either one.

The new Ponderosa footage is up and they obviously don't have the budget they did last season. I mean they go from a HUGE mansion, air conditioning, actual rooms and a beautiful pool to this season where it is tents with small fans, no pool as of yet and it just looks cheap to me. Keith kinda mentions it in one of the 3 clips.

As for the votes. Kinda shocked that nobody made a big move and went down the order. I do think that this next redemption challenge will be interesting. If it is more of a physical challenge, then they obviously want Ozzy to get back in. If it is some other type, then the girls have a chance. Should be interesting.
