I believe DHS is 135 acres / SWL 12 acres = 11.25.so 35% of the park...pheww

What's crazy is the MK is 105 acres and they can fit all of those attractions in there.
The cleared area for it will be 12 acres. The physical land - including show buildings - is just under 10.No, SWL will be 12 acres.
I thought it was supposed to be 14 on both coasts? The cleared area for it will be 12 acres. The physical land - including show buildings - is just under 10.
DHS will use about 9.6 acres for the land.I thought it was supposed to be 14 on both coasts?
So, Disney lied when they touted 14 acres and how they'll be the biggest single lands ever?DHS will use about 9.6 acres for the land.
I dare say they could argue the land being cleared matches their press release. So, Disney lied when they touted 14 acres and how they'll be the biggest single lands ever?
Well that's just misleading. I guess talking about how "yuuuuge" it'll be adds to the hype. It didn't need it though because the attractions will speak for themselves.I dare say they could argue the land being cleared matches their press release.
Totally agree with you. A big missed opportunity for Disney to get it right.Wow that is crazy, It doesn't look that big at all.
Doesn't seem like they are using the space wisely. They should have left Pixar Place the way it is and just add a Monsters ride, Incredibles ride, Ratatouille, etc near the existing Toy Story Midway Mania. That would've made more sense to me. Toy Story Land just takes up too much space and adds only 2 new rides. I understand their new idea is to create more immersed worlds and I like that idea for SWL. However, as a HUGE Toy Story fan, I find the current TSL plans lackluster.
The same media spin also claimed NFL was the biggest Magic Kingdom expansion too, remember?Well that's just misleading. I guess talking about how "yuuuuge" it'll be adds to the hype. It didn't need it though because the attractions will speak for themselves.
No, SWL will be 12 acres.
The Millennium Falcon ride in SWL may make Star Tours superfluous, and it could easily be re-themed to something else.
So SWL is going to be smaller than Cars Land? The cleared area for it will be 12 acres. The physical land - including show buildings - is just under 10.
Both show buildings have multiple levels. So SWL is going to be smaller than Cars Land?
Side note: do you think they're counting the supposed 2nd story of the Alcatraz attraction in their acreage calculation?
Are those bits still standing near the book store going to be incorporated into SWL? They seemed the only thing to survive.
Neat! Maybe some of the originally planned Muppet area will see the light of day.I believe they are going to become a part of an expanded Muppets Courtyard.

That's some nice, surprising news Hopefully Disney will plus this area. It would be a nice to have an area that might appeal to younger children that helps families make everyone happy during their visit. Star Wars Land for the young to teenage family members and Muppets for the toddler to young family members within a pretty close area. Toy Story Land around the corner - things starting to look alittle better. Throw in the Mickey Mouse Ride. Who knows what's going to happen to Indiana Jones Stunt Show / Star Tours / Little Mermaid / BatB show? Hopefully no one touches ToTI believe they are going to become a part of an expanded Muppets Courtyard.
