I am 1000% sure that they said RotR doesn't participate in Extra Magic Hours, there weren't any today, and the park doesn't open until 9. How could there possibly be no boarding times? That's ridiculous!

Yeah, it’s messed up. Guests playing by Disney’s posted rules shouldn’t be punished. I have heard cases of Walt Disney World resort concierge staff rudely and impatiently assuring guests that they posted 9 AM open was the open time. If those guests arrive at 9 AM and are SOL I believe they deserve compensation.

Hopefully the 6 AM openings stop once the need for extensive 3rd shift fixes come into effect in the very near future. I thought everyone was under the consensus that this ride wasn't participating in EMH bc of the need for maintenance and downtime on RotR? Or did I interpret that incorrectly?
