Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

It looks amazing, but I thought the leaks said that there would be four or five Kylo Ren figures. It looks like there are two, based off the videos, though.

Ah yes because the highly detailed AA John Boyega and Domhnall Gleeson were both in the OT...

Keep shoveling that narrative...
You mean they can't just put a new head on that Stormtrooper body or just put Discount Tarkin into an Imperial outfit and dye the hair since you only see the figure from the back anyways? You could even pass the redone Hux as being his father or something.

How does it decrease actual ride capacity?

The touchpoints are a slower process than collecting a piece of paper but typically that's well before ride dispatch. It might require more man power to operate an attraction, but I wouldn't think it decreases throughput.
I don’t want to send this thread spiraling out of control. Let me search for the post where I explain it.

Bottom line: the idea that throughput remains consistent is based on the faulty assumption that Disney is operating the attraction at full capacity and properly mixing Standby with FP. They don’t.

EDIT:
@RSoxNo1 here it is

Having watched the press release B roll in full now that was handed out to various websites today, I’ve never known any company to freely give so much away before an attraction opens. And I’ve seen a lot of B roll. Surprised me.
Agreed. Disney is trying to control this launch by putting good footage and information out there vs. the internet reacting to a poor quality video and misinformation. Makes sense especially after the debacle of the first roll out of GE. They have to stick the landing on this opening.

Now is not the time to be precious with spoilers that are going to be revealed through guests’ YouTube videos anyway.

Another thing, the first order cast members I really hope stay in character. It adds so much even that cast member yelling at you as you come off the ITS really adds to the attraction.

..only until a tourist who doesn't get it, is not a Star Wars fan, complains that "...the CM was mean to me and yelled and now I am offended."
you KNOW its coming. They couldn't handle menus - this will really trigger their snowflakes.

During construction of the ride we could see that there was a large circular feature at one end of the building. What does that correspond to in the ride?

...the ITS shuttle rotation part to simulate flight and capture. See images

RotR would be so much better if it was based off the OT. Why/how is being chased by Kylo Ren scary or intimidating in the least bit? But can you imagine coming face to face with AA Darth Vader?

I know, as I’ve said earlier - this is a neat, impressive ride (at least for what they are doing stateside these days). I look forward to riding it.

However, if Cry-lo had been replaced with Vader, I would be crying tears of excitement and hyperventilating on the floor.

Everything looks mostly fantastic, just like I’d been picturing for the last few years. The only scene I’m not a huge fan of is the Kylo gets crushed by the ceiling part. His motions look more silly then menacing and the ceiling peices are kind of awkward and not very convincing. Doesn’t do much to ruin the ride but it’s just the one scene that doesn’t work for me

..I was just telling my source that. The ceiling looks like a cheesy effect from "Earthquake" at Universal.

Rise of the Resistance is an awesome ride, level of detail is incredible. Animatronics are outstanding. However for me as an older fan who isn't that keen on the new cast with the exception of Rey, it's hard to get totally immersed. I can't help thinking how much cooler this ride would have been to use Han,Luke,Leia escaping the Death Star with Darth Vader chasing them. I kept recalling the Rouge one Scene with Vader that gave me chills and how cool it would have been to have Vader in the ride. That's just me, it could have been done with Todays tech but Disney has gone all in with the new cast.

That's my only complaint, I'm sure I'm in the minority when it comes to that and everyone prefers the new cast to the old cast. I'm just showing my age. :)

..I'm an OT fan (grew uo with them) and I am not hung up on the cast. I could not care less who is the focus OT/New characters, just make it cool and I am in,

That scene has a weird Matrix-y slo-mo feel to it. Particularly the falling ceiling piece.

Also the scene where you encounter the Drone Droid (I think that is what they called it) looks terribly slow to convey a sense of danger.
