I literally opened the app the second the last person in our group scanned in. I had it completely closed out for it to do any necessary refresh when I opened the app and it was fine.
I refreshed 6 times before I gave up and hit a CM I wasn’t alone. Seemed to be having a very bad day for some reason (And by refresh I mean closing the app down and restarting it)

I’m honestly surprised they let it get up that high given where they’ve mostly ended up BG wise the last few days. We were almost on the ride when it broke. Not upset though. It’s a complicated new ride.

We actually talked to an an ops person and they said even with all the testing, just can’t anticipate everything that could break in ‘real life’ with guests actually on the ride. Ops said they run the ride and then maintenance has to come fix it, haha.
Could part of it be previous days they were accounting for the return FP they distributed and lessened the BGs. The backlog has caught up so able to distribute more BGs.

I closed out of the app, and turned off WiFi both mornings. As I tapped in I had my phone in my hand, and opened the app as I walked away from the turnstile I opened the app and started walking, both times before I passed crossroads of the world the app opened and a few steps later I had my boarding group so I recommend following that method.

I'm confused. If the ride goes down, guests are getting FPs AND a park hopper? Like an actual free ticket?
They're only getting the FP + park hopper if they get a boarding group and it's never called.

If guests are in the queue/ride when it breaks down I think they're getting a fastpass to come back later that day when it's back up.

No. If they get a boarding group, but they aren't able to ride because their boarding group wasn't called and the park has to close, they are given a one-day park-hopper and a FP for the next day.

If the ride goes down and you're on the ride (whether in the pre shows or on the actual ride) and they have to evacuate you out, you receive a paper fast pass to return. It is only good for that day. I should know. I’ve gotten two, haha.

If your boarding group is never called, that’s when you get a Park Hopper and FP (good for the next day only I believe, but I could be wrong on that)

Here we are, a week after opening - and things are still a mess. Time is running out to get this all sorted before the holiday rush... 🙄
Eh... It really doesn’t feel that messy when you are physically in the park. They have a monster amount of attraction and guest relations CMs at Rise to answer questions and deal with guest issues. Break downs seem a fairly natural part of new ride life. And from my point of view, they are offering fair compensation for getting back on the ride or if your boarding group isn’t called.

Clearly they are playing with hours a bit but they are only working with a week of data. The process will never be completely smooth but get up early and you’ll get on at some point.
