probably cause too many people were tapping their boarding cues at the same time.

This is why they try to stagger things and let people in early but the whiners started calling them "Liars".
Now the whiners will have one more thing to whine about.
Well then it wasn’t designed very well was it? Not loading is one thing. But loading and telling people they’re not in the park after they tapped in. How much did they waste on this infrastructure?

I think this is the first time we’ve heard anything about app struggles. Worked seemlessly for me on Saturday.
I had no problems with it this morning, they announced to wait 3-5 minutes before trying to get a group, because it actually isn’t instantaneous to sync data.
It did show up with no boarding group after I got one but a refresh showed the group again.

Ride’s down at the moment. We’re being held in the queue. They’re handing out water bottles, and Rey is wandering through. She’s chatting and taking pictures. It’s pretty cool!
I am shocked and pleasantly surprised as to the lengths they are going through to ensure a positive guest experience in light of the technical challenges they are facing. From the complimentary park hoppers to giving out bottles of water. I guess they are really taking lessons learned from SWGE opening and are really concerned about negative guest feedback. Good for them.

We’re moving again now, but it was not a bad little wait period. They were also regularly escorting guests to the restrooms. They’re taking good care of us!

They can't afford not to. The social media mob would have them tarred and feathered if they acted indifferently. Just ask United Airlines about what happens when social media goes bad for a large corporation.

I think that's an important distinction...not everyone is tech-savvy enough to realize that's a smarter way to do it.
Last time I went a CM made sure to walk up and down each line and loudly exclaim to everyone to make sure they had MDE completely closed until after entering the park. Said if it wasn’t completely closed there may be a chance it wouldn’t register you were in the park right away. So yes, best bet is to keep it closed until you’re in the park and everyone in your party has been scanned in. Although I also wouldn’t put it passed MDE to completely glitch out every now and then 🤷‍♀️

Oh, I wouldn't, either. Their IT is notoriously bad.

Not to mention, the rest of the Land had a lackluster reaction from guests. This ride is awesome and they need the guests to focus on that... and not feel put out or focus on issues surrounding it to dampen desire to go in it. If social media was filled with "yeah the ride is good BUT it broke down for X hours and I had no water or bathroom break" "I have no idea if the ride is good because it broke down and I didnt get called the ONE day I had tickets to disney for and they didnt give me anything to let me return later. Disney sucks, dont risk it" it would impact them way more negatively. Whereas "yeah it broke down and i couldnt get on when planned BUT they let me go another day of my choosing, awesome!" is a much different thing.

Regardless of why they're doing it though, it's good that they're doing what they should and taking care of guest experience

I guess it gets wonky the more it’s run?
My group was called @6:55 and I was done with the ride @ 7:27, and I was by the theater when it was called
You might have already said it in the roll call this morning, but what group were you and when did you arrive?

edit: never mind, I see you were there very early lol
