This is excellent! Thank you for this! I had been wanting to write out something like this myself but had not found the time. So the big takeaway seems to be that the village should feel identical in both parks, but the Resistance base could have a very different flow in each location.

By the way, the only thing I would add is this area may not exist in DHS:

In DL this is the third entrance. In this photo from DHS, you can see the rock work come to an abrupt stop at the circled area. To me, this implies a backstage space with a gate going up at the edge of the rock work.

Pretty sure that’s where the TIE Echelon or a standard TIE Fighter will be parked.

I also wonder what the plan for that red circle area was/is. When the DHS site was first developed with those retaining walls, I thought it'd be obvious to have some kind of wrap around path to help with guest flow. But we can see there's no connection through there in the DL version and the most recent aerials for DHS show dirt being put into that back alcove. And, as you said, the rock work abruptly ends before that area. Plus, what looks like an aluminium staircase has been installed behind the buildings which would further support the idea of a backstage area.

I wonder if it had initially been planned to be a guest area and then plans changed?

Pretty sure that’s where the TIE Echelon or a standard TIE Fighter will be parked.

Interesting idea, though the area seems like it'd be a bit cramped for that.

Edit to add: Isn't the tie fighter going in this octagonal area?

A nice detail pointed out on Jim Hill's podcast is that there will be an elevated view of the Falcon as a photo spot which I believe is here:
353940

This will put you a level above the crowds so you can get a clean view.

It has been pointed out by every reporter that the angle the Falcon is positioned at if approached on this side of the market is meant to mimic first time we/Luke saw the Falcon in Episode IV.

After the massive media blitz, I've been trying to figure out where everything is in the land. We should know every shop, restaurant, and landmark at this point. I'm basing my guesses on these document posted by @SWGalaxysEdge on the Disneyland thread. These are from the actual documents sent to the press by Disney, and they split the shops into 2 categories: "Merchandise Locations" and "Marketplace". Here's what I've got:

353956

I think the 4 red X's are the Marketplace. According to the documents, the Marketplace is made up of the Creature Stall, the Toydarian Toymaker, the Jewels of Bith, and Black Spire Outfitters. I think all of these are open-air shops that will fit into this shaded bazaar. The documents also say Kat Saka's Kettle, which is a themed popcorn stand, will be in the Marketplace too.
The blue X is Ronto Roasters and the green X is Docking Bay 7, but I think that's pretty obvious at this point.

353957

I think A is Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities. The concept art for his shop shows that it's in a round building with a tall ceiling; this is the only building that fits this description.
B is definitely the Droid Depot for two reasons. First, like Dok-Ondar's the concept art has the same octagonal shape as this building. Second, the fly-through of the model released at D23 clearly shows this building marked with the Aurebesh letters "DD".
Honestly, I'm not sure what C is. I can't tell for sure if we'll even be able to go in those buildings.
D is the location of the TIE Eschelon and is also the location of First Order Cargo according to the document. The document says that First Order Cargo is a "temporary storage dock" that is "easily identified" by the nearby TIE fighter.
E is Oga's Cantina, but I think we all know that by now.

353958

We know for certain that the red circle contains Savi's Workshop. We know this because the video released at Destination D showed an structure under that cylinder with the sign "Savi & Son Salvage" written in Aurebesh.
We also know that Resistance Supply will be in the blue circle. The documents refer to this shop as a "makeshift" supply location near the Resistance base. Also, in the model fly-through released at D23, we can clearly see a merchandise location set up at this spot.

That's all I've worked out so far. There are still a few buildings left, but I think those might just be facades/storefronts that guests can't enter. Or they might house locations for the role-playing games powered by the Play Disney app.

Hurricanes affecting the middle of central Florida aren't that common and very rarely impactful. Almost always it's just one rainy day. And of the ones that did hit, only two days were lost.
Hasn't their been hurricane in 2 of the last 3 years that have closed the park? I know it was closed for 2 days in 2017 (Irma?) and I believe it was just one day in 2016 (Mathew?) for hurricanes. It does seem they are becoming more common. I can't remember that last time WDW closed before 2016. Was it 9/11?

Great summary.
That was my guess for "A" as well.
"C" is where I thought the Toydarian shop and Outfitters would be, seems like they would be more than a stall. (EDIT I meant the creature shop, not the toy shop which by it's concept art, looks like part of the indoor bazaar.)
There's also the building opposite Ronto Roasters by the berm, labeled "Black Spire Station" on the card set, which is where some landspeeders should be parked. Also mentions finding the parts you need, which makes me think it could be a second lightsabre location. I'd assumed there would be a Milk/Popcorn stand there as well.
Still lots we don't know- fun!

That is indeed an elevated stage-like area. It's about a person's-height elevated.

The real look from above will happen in the SR queue circled also in red...

View attachment 353965
It's great to get confirmation on earier speculation. From November:
Also...
I'm not sure if this will be part of the queue, or a swanky secret club, but I am certain we will be looking out at some point from those large curved windows just above the Falcon:View attachment 328315

The space seems more of an alcove so I'm leaning more to more of a garage type space, but it curves along behind the Falcon leading to the same side where most of the queue space will be. You can sort of see it here in this old Bioreconstruct pic (Orlando):View attachment 328332
I'm pretty sure we will have to go up a level to eventually board as the turntables are not significantly submerged, making me even more sure we will pass by the windows mentioned in my last post.

As for Hondo, I think it was said that the ship would be moved or lowered into a different area and we will enter it from a docking port rather than the ramp typically used. This I think will be shown in video during the mission briefing.

While I can't imagine going though the entire threads for this project, when this is finally open, I may go through the posts from myself and a few others to see how many DSNY exclusives we caught first.

I did this illustration to show. The left is the actual model. The right is the current state of the transport ship. The rear 3/4 are dimensional, like the model ship. The front quarter, the cockpit area, is currently a painted 'flat'.

Interesting how in this shot from Star Tours, the ship is turned around:

Pretty sure I posted some sort of directory earlier in this thread.

Yeah, but prior to that it was like a solid decade without a hurricane.

I’m in South Florida, and I know 2005 was the last hurricane that affected us till about 2016.

Let’s look at some details....
View attachment 276184

A is the part built Cantina (TSR of course)
B is a series of 5 interconnected stores
C is a covered seating area for the QSR
D are the two area restrooms (the one to the left is yet to be built)
E is the part built Marketplace area
F is the QSR

It’s going to be quite the sight!
I think now we're down in the weeds trying to figure out exactly what's what in "B".
