Well, that is IMHO disappointing. I mean, yes, replacing the existing shows is a good thing and I look forward to that happening -- but that should be a given and they are all long overdue for replacements. I truly hope that the powers that be recognize that DHS still needs more beyond TSL/SW and a Micky ride and just some new shows. There really ought to be an additional land build either replacing Animation or in the IJ area (or both!) with some new rides. They don't have to be E-tickets, but the park needs a bunch of C- and D-ticket stuff to compliment the bigger name attractions that are slated.
Can the Animation area be connected to the RnRc area? It seems like there us a lot of build able land there that wouldn't disrupt guest experience. Plus, I'm sure there is more land around the park.

I'm afraid that's what $2.8 bn or so buys you in the park now. With the infrastructure updates.

Sadly, I remember all of the rumors coming out about the four different phases that was coming the parks way. Then It appears to have shifted a different direction / focus.

Yeah, it seems when they shifted Star Wars, while I'm thrilled by it, we got the short end of the makeover stick. Sounds like at least Monstropolis was on the table. And they kept going back and forth on Cars Land. If we got Cars Land would we have gotten Toy Story Land too, as well as Monstropolis?

"Phase 3" (though I guess not really?) sounds like a bunch of show and dining updates, which should have already happened. JMO.

They really could have had a great little park (and still can). I wonder if the Indy show is being looked again. The BatB show might get updated with the new live action movie coming out. Plus, there is a Mary Poppins movie coming out too, It seems like they shift gears every few months.

I'd be happy with them enclosing the theater and updating B&TB to be more in line with a Broadway production (and more in line with the visuals of the upcoming movie which will no doubt be a huge blockbuster). Better sets and costumes. I actually do still like the show as it is, as do a lot of people, but it really could use a major plussing.

I've wanted a Mary Poppins musical in the park forever. I mean, we can't even get a Frozen musical like DCA we still have the sing-along! LOL

We were there the first of the month and passed on The Frozen sing a long. Disney is being pretty bold with another Mary Poppins movie. The first one is the Gold Standard. You could list a lot of things that could have been with SWL and made the park great. I really like the look of Pixar Place with the clean look of the brink. I wish they would pay attention to some of the other Pixar IP's that aren't in the parks. Up is one of my favorite movies. I guess we will have to wait till the D23 to see if there is anything else coming.

I can't remember if it was a rumor, or if I'm mixing a rumor with the plan for Tokyo, but is DHS getting an enclosed theater for the reworked BatB?

It's one of the best shows in the parks. I never miss it each time I go.

And it's still very popular. Big theater that gets filled many times a day.
When my parents went 2 years ago, my mother absolutely loved the show. Ditto for my friend who went this year. It packs the theater, and people leave the show with smiles on their faces. While it may seem a little like overkill for Frozen to have a presence at 3/4 parks right now, it really does fit the mode for DHS (though outside of the stage shows, is there anything Frozen related at MK?).
