So?

They can't do something better?

Not being sarcastic but them doing the bare minimum because it fills the theater isn't an excuse.

It's a fine show, for what it is, but I'm sort of shocked at the people coming to it's defense. The park has other more pressing problems so this isn't one of them, but still ...
The Frozen Sing A Long is far from the biggest problem in that park. I suspect it won't be around in 5 years, but right now it's inexpensive and popular.

Oh I know, I even said as much in another post that the park has other things that require attention over that, just nitpicking. I just think a switch wouldn't be that difficult but I don't run the park and like others have said, it crams them in so ....

Isn't "fills the theater," i.e. people like it, i.e. satisfied guests the entire point of a theme park?

Sure.

It was just an opinion that they could have switched the sing-along with the better produced musical. But why not strive for better? I know it fills the seats. I don't really think I need to defend wanting a better produced musical over a sing-along.

No, the thing you need to "defend" is your use of the term "better" as if its an objective matter-of-fact. I get that the sing-a-long doesn't tickle your fancy, but maybe some people think it IS the "better" option.

It's popular because it's on the list of attractions in the park. Tourists aren't smart enough not to go.
American Idol was routinely empty and DHS wasn't in much better shape then, either.

Tell that to Ellen's Energy where I'm always guaranteed a row to lie down in for a nap.

I'm sorry you're having trouble understanding that many people enjoy the Frozen Singalong. They don't need to be tricked into seeing it. I like it and see it again and again. That happens without tricks.

Ok. Again, it's my opinion. I'm not knocking anyone who's saying it's better, have I? I guess you feel the need to act superior and call me out on wanting what I perceive to be better. You're the one making an issue out of nothing. Clearly you don't like me and that's fine. Others also share that opinion but you chose to quote me. So ... let it go :)

EDIT: And apparently you missed where I said what I like about the current show but that doesn't fit your agenda.

Because people know Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher most can say James Earl Jones voiced Darth Vader but who is Kenny Baker ?
Ok, The guy had something to do with R2-D2, googled it.

Does not have to be anything grand a plaque somewhere ?
Corner plaque in memory to actors that are no longer with us.
It can have Kenny Baker too and add names when people pass .....

At least I do not talk about Beauty and the Beast in a Star Wars thread !!!
I'd prefer any kind of tribute to be in theme. Have something commemorating Princess Leia, people will know who it's really for.

There is that new show in DCA. I haven't watched a full video because I'll see it in July but the bits I have seen look great. Much better than what looks like singing along to the DVD of the movie with actors occasionally coming out.

LOL no one's arguing that the seats don't get filled. It's a good show for what it is. No one's arguing that either. I simply suggested something that's perceived to be better. Again it's just an opinion. Not a matter of fact statement. Man I'm sorry I dared to say anything.

Of course it fills seats and of course people like it. I've said what I like about the show.

Can we get back to Star Wars?

Indeed. If shows are crappy or far too old, they don't fill. See SGE or Circle of Life.

So in that same breath, Indy, Beauty and VoTLM should go on for another 20 years too? (Just because the sing-along isn't 20+ years old, but it probably will be shouldn't make a difference). They still fill the seats, guests love them, they're not bad shows. Why not? Yet most want or think they should be replaced, or upgraded. Anyone, I've beat the dead horse.

Let's get back to SWL.

I never said they shouldn't be replaced. I implied that wasn't pressing, however. They need some new content at the park before they can close a theater for 6 months. I hear Disney Jr. will close in 2017 for pretty significant updates, for what it's worth.

True. And no, it's not at all a pressing matter. Despite what I've said, I'd be one of the first to raise my eyebrow if they replaced the sing-along before addressing other issues and replacing other shows. I even said in another post it isn't a pressing matter and I'm just being a nitpicker :) just more of that annoying arm-chair imagineering (and it also stemmed from me saying in a different post or thread when comparing how TDA runs their Anaheim parks and how TDO runs their Orlando parks, they get a Broadway style musical and we still have the sing along but even I'm tired of hearing myself talk about it...)

It's good to hear Disney Jr. is getting updates, but they seem to be pretty good at keeping that one updated. I'm assuming it's staying Disney Jr. (which I think deserves a place in the park even if it's not aimed at me).
