Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

It would remove the elements of storytelling that exist and were created for the land. The backstory, the placemaking,.etc, and turn it just into a generic Star Wars Land that exists not to tell a story (which is what we all expect from Disney), but to cowtow to the most vocal critics.

In my mind, Batuu is solved by two things: opening Rise (which is happening immenently), and by adding more stuff - shows, drones, aliens walking around... To satisfy the OT fans, they should have C3PO and R2 as roamable characters. Maybe add a third minor attraction - an indoor show featuring force ghosts, so we could see Luke, Anakin, Yoda, etc... There's a lot they could to do preserve the timeline and story, but still provide elements to people who are only drawn to the OT, or PT for that matter.
[emphasis mine]
Not a show - a dark ride!

And maybe they wouldn't even have to be force ghosts.

Do you understand hyperbole? Obviously there are people there, it’s already a top ten theme park attendance-wise, and it’s not like people actively avoided the park because of Star Wars land. So it’s not actually a ghost town. Tell the forum! Tell the media!
Literally there are a handful of obnoxious posters in here screaming relentlessly for the last several months that it's a ghost town and everyone hates it. That is who I'm addressing.

That's right. It's not a ghost town. It's definitely not the response they expected, but it's far from a ghost town, and DHS attendance is up year over year.

And people do like it, contrary to some trolls on this board.

Yes. They like it. That is the general guest view.

People “like” it. I sorta liked it. It’s a billion dollar Star Wars based land. I’m going to like it. But I sure didn’t LOVE it. My wife was bewildered on what exactly the land and ride were supposed to be about, and wondered where all that money went.

There is no way they are getting the increase in visitors they were hoping for back when this was being designed in a meeting room.

Give it up. You are in the minority and you just don't want to accept that fact.

Yeah because Iger would NEVER ADMIT a mistake
If Iger lied about that, he'd be in a whole lot of legal trouble. That comment was made in context of an investor call. While executives can massage the messaging to fit the narrative they want to present, withold some data points and present other data points that make things look better than they are, they can't outright lie. And he clearly stated that guest satisfaction with the land was high.

Couple that with multiple insiders (who have a history of not pulling punches when it came to bad news as well as good) corroborating that. So yes most guests are very satisfied with the land. Just because you and a few others on this board don't like it, doesn't mean the general public does not.

So, tell me. What insider credentials do you have to back up your statement that guest satisfaction is low? What data do you have access to that says this?

The data that has been reported in detail by many insiders here on this forum and in this thread since the land opened. You can go through the thread and re-read what has been posted. What evidence do you have that backs up your claims. I can already point you to mine.

Like I said, backed up by trusted insiders.

All you got is a conspiracy theory based on some sort of personal vendetta that is manifested by an obsessive need to dis Disney/Star Wars on a fan site.

You question whether Bob Iger would lie about that based on his personal investment. Well, that is exactly what you're doing. Yeah, it's not technically a lie because you have no information whatsoever to base your assertions on, which is kind of ridiculous. But stating something as a fact when you have know way to truly know one way or the other is tantamount to a lie. You're trying to pass on information as true when you have no way to know it's true.

I can say that your feet are blue. I have no proof. And they just may be. But if I go around saying that over and over again even though I don't really know it's true... it's a lie.

No, it has not. Please provide your evidence.

Here's mine, from two insiders who have a good reputation on these boards:

Yes. They like it. That is the general guest view.

And in response to you, when you claimed Rob was in the majority:

Actually, no.

I'm not playing your Reindeer Games Ben Affleck. I already told you how to find the info. Do your own research and stop pestering me.
