Seeing as this showbuilding is so large and it's the first thing you see when entering the Mickey and Friends structure, I kind of wish it had posters or something on the back of it to welcome guests to the resort.

One last thing about Hogsmeade/Hogwarts.

Sorry East Coasters, I just think the Hogwarts castle at UNI Hollywood is a lot better. It has a nicer color scheme and weathered look that makes it look more real and organic.

Here is Hogwarts Castle at IOA

What the production designer had to say:

An important advocate and steward of Potter mythology, he was heavily involved in crafting Hollywood's Wizarding World. Noting the jarring juxtaposition of ancient Scottish dirt in sunny, modern-day California, Craig adds, "It's a big feature here where everything is usually clean. We have black soot, moss, stains, and runs. It was fun to explore that and extend it to get the most value out of it in this park."

Well there you have it. Don't worry though, even though our Hogwarts/Hogsmeade is better, Orlando still has Diagon Alley, Hogwarts Express, upcoming Forbidden Forest, and possibly Ministry of Magic. Hollywood has a lot of catching up to do! Lol

This is how I think both Star Wars Lands are going to play out. They will be virtually the same, but with minor differences & touches that will give DL Resort a slight Edge. (Pun intented)

But just look how much prettier Florida’s sky is! All joking aside. I do prefer the paint job of Hollywood’s Hogwarts but I think the rockwork looks strange for some reason...at least in that pic. Jmo.

I think that’s simply due to how much later yours was built so they had time to rethink things. Star Wars Land on the other hand will be opening at practically the same time with barely any differences within the actual lands.

Orlando will see less walk around droids since they will rust from the rain. Isn't Avatarland already seeing broken things that aren't getting repaired quickly?
I'm thinking about the Falcon model. They better use a triple coat of waterproof seal on that puppy.
No ideas about Pandora, but it wouldn't surprise me. Hurricanes and such.

Maybe they don't want people getting in fender-benders from reading what's on the building instead of watching the entry road.

While I also like USH's Castle better, nothing is as jarring as seeing a modern office building while in Hogsmeade. Florida wins.

You've been hanging out in the News and Rumors section haven't you?

ha... drastic, yes...
but that's how i see some of this stuff.

noticing the differences in soot content on a castle wall and pointing out why they're different is nice insight, especially in a forum as this, but the versus stuff is lame, as there's no competition.

diz v uni, yeah - tda v tdo, yeah - but diz v diz? coast v coast?...
peeps can say they're just jokin, but i dunno, man - soometiiimes
