Could be summer 2022 but they definitely have slowed down the pace. Yet to be seen how much. Basically they are doing a soft reboot of theatrical releases.
Don’t look now...but you just admitted the problem

A movie about Han Solo bombs and product sales aren’t profitable?
Disney reported the losses themselves from the consumer products division.Do we know that they lost money in SW merch, or, they didn't make as big as profit as projected?
You’re kinda disagreeing while agreeing, aren’t you?
What doesn’t look fan service about the trailer? Mark hamill...emperor...billy Dee in a 40 year old costume....dead leia...death star wreck

That autocorrect cracks me up every timeI don’t believe my comments are conflicting; I simply hold different standards for different films based on expectations.
The Force Awakens was able to get away with being a soft reboot while also being a soft remake of A New Hope simply because we, as the audiences, needed to be convinced that this new Star Wars series is the Star Wars we wanted, and not the prequels.
Subsequent films are not afforded that same luxury, because now the groundwork has been set and the series should tell new stories and try new things, or else risk having not had any new purpose of existing.
If Abrams tells another story that involves the moon of Endor, another Death Star, a climactic finale with Palestine, Kylo Ren dying after being redeemed by Rey, and Lando blowing something up in the Falcon, then The Rise of Skywalker will have been a failure.
I like to think that the creative minds in charge are aware of this and won’t go that route, but the trailer does raise the possibility of all of those things happening.
I disagree with 99.99999999% of everything you say...but that was pretty funny. Well played. lol!Does that mean the franchise has gone from suck to blow??
The missing piece of the puzzle is to find someone like Feige to manage the vision of the franchise. I respect Kennedy but she is more rooted in producing individual projects than something on the scale of what MARVEL has accomplished.
I am not at all sceptical about this course correction. Disney will invest at whatever level it takes to get it right. I mean they already are. Bookmark it.
Well, Kevin Feige does technically work for Disney.Nobody working for Disney currently has the slightest clue how to build the franchise and move it into the future 5-10-20 years
Bookmark that...because they need to have a job fair before anything changes
So, umm...
Just outta curiosity, how did you feel about seeing Obi Wan as a Force ghost in the OT films?

Only Marvel comics. The Marvel toys still sell well. Funny, it’s almost as if Star Wars isn’t capturing this generation as well as it did past generations. Even the Prequels didn’t lead to losses.Oh, Star Wars' and Marvel's merchandise appeal is fading?
GOOD.
Oh look, a Star Wars story that doesn’t focus on a Jedi named Skywalker and looks great!!!
It is made by Respawn which a lot of people praise. I’m just hoping beyond hope it comes to Switch.I’m almost exclusively a fan of single player games, so I’m pretty excited about this. Hopefully EA knows they have to get the fans back after the Battlefront 2 fiasco.

It’s still losing money based on low sales. Something previously unheard of for Star Wars merchandise. That's a lessening of revenue. Not a deficit.
