Star Tours 2: Official confirmation - kinda

Some of us have been saying this for months ... one Spirit I know intimately has been saying so for well over a year now.

Doesn't matter. Some people will never listen.

So ... how's things coming on WWoHP? When should we expect to be wowed? :)
It's still looking to me like we'll be open just before the summer of 2010. Unfortunately I've lost a few battles recently that I think will make it a little less impressive but nonetheless, anyone that won't be wowed by this ride needs electric paddles to be revived in my opinion.

I'm gonna' miss this Star Tours alot.

Me too. The attraction was my introduction to the Star Wars universe and it is still one of my favorite minor attractions at WDW. But the thing is, it shouldn't be a minor attraction and hopefully they will do this next version the right way.

For the record, I experienced the movies in chronological order. I doubt there are that many people my age (25) or older that can say Episode 1 was their first SW movie :)

Just what I wanted to hear. Keep up the great work!

Wow. Yours is a rare perspective. Care to give us your impressions? I'd be very interested in how you see the two trilogies. Thanks.

Motion simulators make me nauseas, so hopefully Disney has found a way to make these things less nauseating or else this will continue to be a ride that I can't enjoy.

Well if you are lumping me in the, "mindlessly defending poor management decisions" camp then I protest. I was very consistant over the last 18 months saying that WDW's days were coming and just advising a bit of patience because I have seen all this before. At least twice in WDW's history. Your post has an aire of "extreme" to it. But I do understand taking a break from the boards. I plan to do the same shortly after the D23 Expo.

I will then only jump in with each new developments progress. But it's been a fun ride dueling with the D&G folks............sometimes. :lookaroun

So I guess I don't agree with WDW74 afterall.

Nope, I'm not talking about you at all. And in case anybody has forgotten, I was the first person to insist that Disney would re-invest in WDW once the MK refurbs were done. (Granted, that was before mgmt pulled the plug on several plans and my department was disillusioned, but nevertheless—)

And I've obviously not completely given up, because I've made about ten posts since the one you quoted.

Wow, this is off topic. Let us return to our regularly scheduled thread. Sorry, Moderators-That-Be.

That early!? Wow...I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I'm guessing not too much will be done?

That's good, I think...I want to still feel retro...

Holy cow! Okay, I've got a semi-serious question for you. If Phantom Menace was your first Star Wars film, what made you want to watch the second one? Also, what did it feel like when you got to New Hope, and the dialogue got a lot better but the budget got a lot smaller?

I am suddenly very confused.:lol::lookaroun

I was thinking the same thing!
