Well they need a Jedi to respond to Grogu's message. Ezra seems the most likely outside of Luke and Cal from fallen order. Plus Ahsoka knows Mando now and may join Ezra in the final battle to help out. I dont see how thats poor story telling. Their just utilizing the characters they've introduced.

I think you might be missing the forest for the individual trees...

If it’s done well...it’s good storytelling. If it’s a prequel or a sequel...it’s not.

Art...not math. It has to be written and shot correctly by someone who knows what they’re doing.

You need a Jedi, eventually. Outside of Luke, it would be extremely hard to explain an Ezra or especially a Cal in the time this show will have. Can it be done, and done well? Probably. Baby yoda is a horrible idea on paper but they made it not just work, but become a classic star wars thing. I just feel like if they were going to bring in a new Jedi to answer Grogus call, it would have been last episode. But they went a different route and that's fine. I could see Ahsoka help since we already got her introduction. But if I was a betting man, I'd say adding in a Jedi now would take to much away from what should be the Moff Gideon Mando showdown.

I’m very surprised they went other character story/boba fett gang on the last show. With only 8 episodes...one offs are hard and this whole season had been a string of one offs with maybe the exception of two that directly relate.

Yea the last episode was a strange choice. It turns out it has been my favorite of this season so it doesn't really bother me too much. I really thought they would have spent more time on his "quest" this season and we would see more of the Mandalorian groups. That is why I would have liked 10 episodes at 45ish minutes. You can have those one off moments and still have time for the main arc to flesh out.

BOBA WILL DIE AND MANDO'S NEW SHIP WILL BE SLAVE 1

FENNEC WILL BECOME THE NEW BOBA AND WEAR HIS ARMOR

BABY YODA WILL WIELD THE DARK SABER AT ONE POINT

GIDEON WILL DIE

BABY YODA WILL BE RESCUED

THE JEDI BABY YODA REACHED OUT TO WILL SHOW UP AT THE VERY END AND THE IDENTIFY OF THE JEDI WILL BE THE CLIFF HANGER OR THEY WILL SHOW US AND IT WILL EITHER BE LUKE SKYWALKER PLAYED BY ANOTHER ACTOR POSSIBLY SEBASTIAN STAN OR THE RETURN OF MACE WINDU AND HE WILL TAKE BABY YODA ENDING THE BABY YODA STORYLINE SETTING UP MANDO TO GO ON NEW ADVENTURES AND A NEW STORYLINE NEXT YEAR.

It’s a lot of filoni characters...

But it’s also direct parlay into two “exciting” D+ shows (6 episodes coming in only a year or two ) with into or motive episodes...

I smell a rat on that one. Not to say it will be bad...but let it breathe/don’t rush it occasionally.

Not an insider its just common sense based on what has been set up so far. Its Disney's Star Wars so if you think of the stupidest thing to happen, it usually will happen.

I know this is a spoiler thread but maybe we shouldn't drop any for this episode until Sunday to give everybody a chance to watch. There are some surprise worth waiting for. Besides talking in code is fun
