I kind of didn't like this episode. I like characters and everything, but I don't know, aside from the one line about tva agents not knowing they have history outside the tva, it just felt like nothing happened of consequence here.
the episode just felt kind of meh…nothing to get too excited about. i guess they just had to introduce us to sylvie & hopefully things pick up again next week.

I... think I enjoyed the newest episode. Lots of things actually happened here, and the big mid-credits scene was fun. I'm probably gonna go against the grain here and say I thought Lamentis was the better episode because while not a lot happened in terms of plot, I much rather enjoyed the relationship developing there.

I don't know how I feel yet about the Loki/Sylvie romance that's been made explicit here + the whole plot point that their feelings for each other created the nexus event. I don't want to mind it because they have amazing chemistry as characters, but... yeah. Rooting for them I guess.

Another qualm I had about the episode was the pacing—a lot happened really fast with Hunter's discovery that she's a Variant to Mobius discovering the TVA's a lie to being pruned himself and then the whole reveal that the Time-Keepers are A-1000s... it moved very quickly and I wonder if they could've lingered for a bit longer.

Okay seriously, I love the MCU, I love that you never know when something is final or not...but how many times does Tom Hiddleston have to die to ACTUALLY stay dead? Is his name really Lazarus? Good grief, but this is getting a bit dated.....

I have to hope, that this ties into the whole story and that somehow "LOKI" in all the variations IS the nexus event, which is where I think this is going... and that his relationship with Sylvie is the key issue.

I didn't get the feeling that Loki was mooning over Sylvie romantically so much as he felt instantly protective of her as a sister. Basically she's his twin sister. Normally I'm all about the shipping, but either I'm not feeling it from the actors, or I'm missing it.

Now, as for my reactions in the moment:

OMG REG IS COMICS LOKI?!?!
And Kid Loki and Croc Loki and whoever the other guy is supposed to be. lol Maybe an Inversion Loki, given the hammer? OMG will we then get an Inversion Thor?! I'd love to see an evil Loki-ized Thor! :D

I'd say this show is suffering from Star Trek syndrome where the even numbers are the good ones. lol #oldschoolreference Ep 1 was okay, Ep 2 was good, Ep 3 was okay, Ep 4 was good. Bodes well for the finale. lol

But until the tag scene I figured the next ep would be Sylvie traveling the timelines searching for her Variant Loki since we haven't seen President Loki or REG until the tag scene. I can't believe they got REG in that costume! I was expecting a far more elegant suit and tie version of Old Loki, but this works! Can't wait for next ep with this crew!

But if Loki wasn't destroyed, does that mean Mobius wasn't either? Does pruning just send variants to an apocalypse event to die? Or was Loki special as his bond with Sylvie caused a nexus event and that's why he got sent... somewhen else?

One other note - while I suppose appropriate for a loquacious Loki show... and with the understanding that this was filmed during the pandemic so some things had to change... this show seems virtually all exposition and very little actually happening. Just sayin'...

All the vlogs are saying the Loki and Sylvie made the Nexus event because of some sort of connection they made (the power of LOVE!!).

My theory is: The Sacred Timeline can't exist without them. Their imminent deaths would have been a nexus event.

And in the end: The Sacred Timeline can't exist with them!

The only recap I saw so far didn't believe it had anything to do with love. Just that Loki is suppose to always be alone, and (they) no longer were alone. They had a connection (not romantic, friendship) that created the nexus event. Loki's power increases by 2...or 5?

While I buy into it some, I think the show still has to dive into how this created a nexus event since they were about to die. If they had died then it couldn't have been a nexus event. Could it be connected to the post credit scene (I don't get how yet, but maybe by connecting to another loki made him connect to all Loki's, and thus...I feel like I am reaching here...

That makes sense, especially if you are of the theory that the "timeline" is being manipulated, and it is forcing these creations of "Loki" to fix that issue, so having two of those variants be lost at one time is hugely significant.

Interesting thought. So are you saying the powers he has shown since meeting and teaming up with female Loki like reversing the building from dropping on them and the "green energy" he is shooting out comes from that? The theory I had seen on this is he has taken some of the infinity stones and now that he is out of TVA they work again.

Agreed was it they almost dying or them coming together and "connecting" that was causing it

I have heard the infinity stones theory too. I tend to shy away from the infinity stones one. Only two episodes left, but it is close to the length of a movie left. So a lot left that can happen and change what we think.
