This episode was weird to me. Like, not enough time to explain why sylvie randomly works with Ravenna. But still plenty of time to sit around and beat around around the love interest bush. Unless the last episode is the greatest, this will honestly my least favorite of the series so far, and I expected it to be my favorite after how disappointed I was in the wandavision ending.

I've learned from Wandavision not to expect any huge reveal other than what we've already seen. The big bad will probably be an actual Loki himself (perhaps not having been killed by Thanos) or Ravonna. Or maybe, in some interesting twist, it is Mobius (that would shock people). But we are not going to be introduced to another villain, especially one that is scheduled to be in any movie (like Kang).

I’m just gonna leave this here… :D

Variant: “So you didn’t try to stab him?”

Classic: “Certainly not. Take no offense my friends, but blades are worthless in the face of a Loki’s sorcery. They stunt our magical potential.”

Boastful: “But they look awesome.”

Classic: “Oh yes. Especially when they clatter to the ground just before your neck is snapped.”

My reactions to this ep - one of the better ones, mainly due to REG and Kid Loki who held his own - even with a juice box lol...

I couldn't decide if my issue was the writing, the direction or the acting, but I kept thinking 'does Renslayer HAVE to be so obvious that she's lying to Sylvie?' Then again, I've had issue with that with Loki in this show, too. I get that with him they're doing it with a nod and a wink and an attempt to subvert expectations, but it still seems so obvious each time he's lying.

"I killed Thor." I like this Kid. :D

The Loki free-for-all was fun.

Happy to see Mobius again but not surprised, nor was it surprising for Sylvie to prune herself.

REG is precious and fabulous and even in that ridiculous outfit he carries himself with dignity. 😍

Alligator Loki is fun and apparently related to Peter Pan's Tick-Tock. :D

"Throw a rock out here, hit a Loki." lol

The blanket moment was sweet, but never in my entire life have I rooted so hard for two people NOT to kiss. Ugh. (Okay, maybe in "Rise of Skywalker" - equally cringey IMO.) They don't have chemistry beyond brotherly/sisterly no matter how much their trying to convince.

Been pretty clear since the Timekeepers turned out to be androids that this was being set up for Loki to be behind it. A few possible other options: Mobius turns out to be a Loki variant and he's behind it all. Or, an Inversion Thor who essentially functions as a Loki.

But given that both WandaVision and Falcon & Winter Soldier big bads turned out to be exactly who was blatantly set up... yeah, I'll go with... it's Loki.

It being a Loki behind it all is a bit too obvious and honestly a bit too on the nose with no twist. But who knows, find out in a week.

So was it being
Agatha all along and Sharon as the Power Broker.
And yet...

Believe me, I'd love third time to be the charm and be actually surprised. For a hot minute last week I was thinking it was Renslayer behind it all. But then this week she proved to be such a terrible liar that her suddenly being a mastermind WOULD shock me. Unless she, too, is a Loki. lol

Sorry I’m not buying this whole thing that the TVA is pretty much made up of just Loki’s.

In spite of my love for Loki, I hope it's not either! But I'm not holding my breath for something unexpected either, simply based on how the last two series went. But we'll find out next week! :)

But so far, the most unexpected thing in this show was an alligator with horns. :D

Just FWIW, isn’t there a second season of Loki confirmed? If so it could be that there is a reveal that sets up a cliffhanger for next season.

I have no expectations of some big reveal. I just want it to be good. Cause so far, things just jump at random to me

This has been an interesting show, but here's something I figured out that may disconnect it from the MCU (unless Loki is important in Phase 4).

What happens in this universe of variants stays in this universe of variants. Nothing changes Loki's fate. And, as far as we know, nothing affects the "real world". In Wandavision, we have the cliffhanger that introduces us to the multiverse. Wanda will be part of the next Doctor Strange movie so it fits. In FATWS, Sam becomes Captain America. We know he will be important moving forward because Captain America 4 has been announced and there will inevitably be an Avengers 5. But, for Loki, all of the events take place and are isolated to this alternate timeline. I am guessing this whole thing is ultimately about Loki's redemption. And MAYBE he will come back in some way and join the Avengers (I highly doubt it). But that would really be the only way this could impact the MCU. Other than that, it's a very small-scale story that is self-contained and has little stakes on the rest of the world (unlike all other MCU movies and shows).

To sum up, it is a very interesting show but really needs to tie into the outside "real" MCU world to have real overall meaning. Nobody in the "real" MCU world knows about variants. This really needs to connect somehow to the multiverse and, thus, Loki needs to be part of that.

The show does not exist in the MCU Prime timeline.

The show deals with the Loki of the "Quantum Realm timeline." An alternate reality. In the QR, Loki escaped in 2012 and Thanos didn't snap and blip anyone (he went to the MCU Prime timeline).

So, assuming the show's Loki escapes the TVA, he will be alive in a timeline that has all Infinity Stones up for grabs, and no Thanos. That will create a power vacuum which opens up an entirely different future storyline where all of the currently dead characters are alive, and Loki could become the dominant bad-guy in the future...or Kang.

This then all connects back to the MCU Prime timeline since Ant-Man goes to the QR. QR is going to be important to Phase 4 in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. (...starring Kang)
