The person you're linking to is a crazed anti-Disneyite.
Disliking Disney isn't the problem and doesn't describe what he is. His channel is essentially "qanon for nerds". There's an endless supply valid reasons to criticize and dislike Disney over, the things he rants about almost always aren't valid reasons. At least not the framing and reasons he provides.

He's a fake news farm who has been making the same video at least once a week for the past 3+ years now claiming that Kathleen Kennedy has been fired.

Yeah, that rumor was already posted in one of the dozen Splash/Tiana threads and thoroughly debunked as laughably naive.

The person you're linking to is a crazed anti-Disneyite. As mentioned above, he's been leaking the rumor from an inside source that Kathleen Kennedy is about to be fired... and doing so for the past 4 years.

He has no source. And he just makes stuff up. I fact checked him in his comments once and his response was he just didn't care.

Stay away from this looney.

My apologies. Just being hopeful. I wouldn't go to Disneyland again anyway, but it gave me some hope that maybe there was some pushback from within the company. It's really ridiculous how much this angers and depresses me. At least there's still Tokyo.

I definitely recommend going to Disneyland.

As far as being angry: It’s natural to have nostalgia for rides we used to love don’t let it anger you that much. I think folks are just trying to warn you to keep your expectations in check.

I do appreciate people sharing what’s being said on YouTube, Reddit, etc on these forums since it’s interesting even if the “rumors” are frankly borderline snake oil. It’s still interesting fodder.

Right?!? 🤔

Or, you know, by simply "eliminating open headcount", which is another term that a few folks are trying to use this afternoon to claim that these aren't actually "layoffs". But they're layoffs. 7,000 of them. Even very pro-industry sources like Variety are calling them that.

Doing one better than Variety, even Disney's own news division at ABC is calling them "layoffs". Although technically, ABC is using the two-word version of the phrase. Lay off.

Well, with Amy Robach and TJ Holmes gone, now Disney only needs 6998….c’mon “friends”, get friendlier!!! We need our CM’s!!!

I’m at the point where I’m just fine with the upset people being upset.
I would have rather seen something that sticks with the theming like Country Bears. A CB version could have been like their Summer Vacation show. Which unfortunately I never got to see in person. Judging from the videos and pictures though Randy the Skunk looked like he stole the show.
Then I guess it’s better you’re not in charge. Choosing a much less popular property over a more popular one that sells merch is not the way to go.

And I love CBJ.

I was puzzled too.

I've never heard of a British hamper. ... So basically it's a just a basket?
But not just any basket—one filled with goodies!

Whoa, take it easy. There's no need to be rude about it.

Splash Mountain has been doing just fine with it's little known IP. So that shows how much you know about it.

Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain seem to be doing perfectly fine as well. I don't think Eddie Murphy's Haunted Mansion is selling merchandise for it.
How’s Country Bear Jamboree doing? Especially their summer adventure?

I'm sure your happy with Moana's water shoehorning in Epcot then, just because it sells t-shirts. Tiana is from 1920's New Orleans, not the 1800's.

Country Bear is doing just fine without a known IP. Just like....

Big Thunder Railroad
Haunted Mansion
Space Mountain
Pirates (was)
Jungle Cruise (was)
Enchanted Tiki
It's a Small World
Tron (movies stink and failed at the box office)
Journey into Imagination
Test Track
Soarin
Tower of Terror (very old show)
Rock n Rollercoaster
Expedition Everest

And don't forget a lot of Tokyo DisneySea. That park wouldn't be allowed by the IP lovers. Even though it is perhaps the most beautiful park in the world.

At least they aren’t slow-walking this. They closed and immediately got to work in earnest for a change.
I wish they'd treat all projects like this. Maybe they finally care about everyone making fun of them for Tron & Moana's insane development times.
The drop isn’t going anywhere but they are taking a welding torch to what appeared to be the bottom of the drop ride track last night. They better not make our flume get you drenched like DL.
What's wrong with that? I'd love if it got you drenched.

Was there anything specifically tying the ride (not the film) to Georgia? Brer Rabbit tales were spread all across America.
Disney itself described the ride as “a Southern bayou”, and the whole thing seemed very Southern to me. Not that I minded—the same applies to the Country Bear Jamboree, which I love (obviously!). “Frontierland” has always been a bit of a misnomer given that Southern elements have been there from the start. Guests seem not have been bothered by this in the past, and I doubt they’ll be bothered by it once Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens.

"America's Wild Frontier. Today, the old west to most of us means the southwestern states where cowboys roamed the range. In Georgia the “frontier” was a demarcation between the civilized settlements of the east, and the land considered wilderness beyond that."

Georgia was considered Frontier in the 1700's through 1800's. So it seems to fit pretty well.
I’m not American, so I’ll have to defer to those who are, but I’m surprised by the claim that the nineteenth-century “Old South” is popularly considered to be the frontier. Do others here agree?
