So in this new timeline, Tiana's Bayou Adventure actually takes place after the first two acts of Tomorrowland's Carousel of Progress?
They’re replacing COP with four successive iterations of the Imagineering plans for this attractionSo in this new timeline, Tiana's Bayou Adventure actually takes place after the first two acts of Tomorrowland's Carousel of Progress?
They’re really leaning into the salt mine thing, huh? That’s amazing! Hope no one has Google (or an adequate education in US history).
And putting aside the specific history of this particular location, am I the only one familiar with the idioms “working in a salt mine” or “back to the salt mine” to describe laboring in a depressing, repetitive, and/or exploitative environment?
Well, at least as a business owner in 1927 America, it’s all smooth sailing ahead for Tiana. Not a cloud in the sky as we glide into the next, promising decade.
I was (still am) on the side that Splash just wasn't appropriate.
But even I can say this storyline is incredibly stupid. Why on earth do we want to see Tiana and her neighbors coming together to build a food conglomerate?
It's just dumb. It's okay to admit it.
And yes, I'll still ride it because it's still a fun water ride!
Then the OC Register is way off in their reporting:It seems like the salt mine is more the setting for the queue and just to help tie in the location ... I don't think it means the main "Adventure" is visiting the salt mine or anything
lmao that storyline is way too complicatedThen the OC Register is way off in their reporting:

You see, I read the comment before yours about how the story is too complicated, and I read this as if it was part of the ride XD"Whew, boy, hottest summer we have had here on the bayou in years! But not as hot as the Jazz music down in New Orleans! But up here at the salt mine, we are finding new ways to grow crops so we can truly be living with the land! But the good news is the stock market continues to progress forward with no sign of slowing down ... Well, some say a crash could happen, whatever that means. Speaking of crashing, you'll never guess who crashed my dinner party last night ... That's right, Uncle Orville! Well, as long as that Shadow Man don't come slinking around we'll be right as rain, why? Because there's a great big beautiful tomorrow.... "
This… makes sense, I guess….Mama Odie opens a portal at the top of the lift hill to magically transport you the 140 miles from Avery Island to New Orleans for Mardi Gras

But uhh, also...
The Zak will make you a cheat sheet, it will be on the app when the programmers figure how to do that (small additional charge may apply)Is this the future of every Disney ride moving forward? I enjoy WDW as a means of escape. Do I need the back story that Tiana's company is employee-owned so I can enjoy it more, knowing she is not exploiting her workers? Good night...what a world.
This made me think they chose the mine theme because so many fans are salty about the change. That's it. I'm calling this ride Salt Mountain from here on out.
What are they smoking over at WDIThen the OC Register is way off in their reporting:
