I mean, it's the original thing minus a stump plus a water tower, with brambles swapped for cattails and some different foliage splashed about. Even if you disagree with some of the choices, I don't really understand how you can see the exterior as bland unless you thought it was always bland.

I am optimistic it will end up amazing. I love the ride system and even if this is the the direction I would take the revamp, PatF has amazing characters and songs and definitely potential to be incredible.

The story points out so far feel like forcing things too much and not organic, but definitely waiting to see the final product

Well it looks pretty much the same but with more foliage, very pretty. They do need to take that tacky crown off the tower though. There needs to be something to signify that it’s a PATF ride outside of signs telling you things. They should have just placed the tree & the boat where the tower is, who cares if it doesn’t make sense. It would have been pretty to float under it. Excited to find out more interior-wise, hopefully this Sunday. I had a recent trip to the bayou & it heightened my interest for this ride a bit more.

I just really hope they include Facillier or his friends from the other side somehow. It seems like a gigantic missed opportunity to remove the one element from the movie that would add a bit of a thrill to the ride.

They've gone with (and are taking it for a run) that the song Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah itself is offensive.

It's been removed from pretty much everything outside of Splash Mountain already. Magic Happens is probably the next to see it removed.

Seeing how New Orleans Square based this design is, it really makes me wish they would/could reroute the entrance of the attraction, and build a New Orleans(esque) space like where the splash exit merch store/restroom area is

I'm loving this ride more and more and cannot wait until it becomes a reality. Splash Mountain is my 3rd favorite Disney ride but Princess and the Frog is my favorite Disney animated movie.

I wasnt there for rope drop but when i was walking in it was the song as i entered the park and honestly had a Mickey Mouse smile on my face. Pun intended lol
