Coming back from the "other side" to share some of the story tidbits. Won't be posting frequently, just thought I'd share.

in broad strokes the premise is the same as FEA - a princess is having a party and you're invited to her house. The water tower is dumb, what is the placesetting in the story - a water tower for a food processor in the middle of a swamp? Also the overreliance on signage over the lift is lazy (also see all the new "jokes" in the jungle cruise that have to be forced through signage rather than tableau)

Hey according to that description there is going to be a Salt mine in the ride. Looks like we now know what the Laughing place is turning into for sure.

Bare minimum strikes again, predictable. This thing has been toned down so much before the thing it is replacing even closes.

Less than two years and the current way things are done should paint the picture of how the final project will turn out.

The water tower...yikes.

They really seem to be hopping from one historically problematic attraction to another that is almost equally problematic but in a slightly different way.

At least this ride captures the Tiana everyone loves - not a never-say-die, hard-working underdog but the owner of a major food processing firm in the late 1920s. But it’s OK, the completely out of place water tower awkwardly promises us she's a humane CEO.

HATE the crown on top of the water tower. And if the "scary" elements of this ride are gone in the retheme it'll be a confirmed lost cause.

As much as people complain about “book report” style attractions, I much prefer rides based on well-crafted stories that existed previously to rides with minimal plot that effectively function as Meet & Greets with animatronics from moving vehicles.

The purple at the top before the drop, it reminds me of Facilier.

Louisiana has water towers. I don't love it here but it's not like it's completely out of place. I think it's just there as a signpost to say "we're not putting a ton of money into this but want to make it clear that this is not Splash Mountain."

No
The fact that the only prominent feature from the original concept art did not even make it into the ride really underscores how early and hastily put together that initial announcement was.
What do you mean? Its been in the works for years before the announcement ;) (yes thats sarcasm)
