Doesn't Constance kill him? Or did I miss the movie (blessedly)?
I think he's talking about "there's always my way out..." in the pre-show.

No. He’s committing suicide as a “way out”.Yes I just thought he was reliving his murder.

I was rather confused as a kid. I clued in the older I got.And all these years I had this crazy backstory in my head. Obviously, this makes a helluva lot more sense. I'm not the sharpest shar-pei.

Nevertheless, Br'er Frog repeats the same lines from the movie as Uncle Remus and he smokes a pipe just like Uncle Remus:“Replaces” in the loosest sense.
In your opinion, could there ever be a segment of society who might have valid complaints about something in a Disney ride/film? If so, at what point do you think Disney should respond? The only ones that should ever be offended are the ones that are suffering because of the squawking harpies that seek ways to be offended. Not simply because harpies end up causing others to lose something, but because it is just so blasted annoying. Somewhere in the early life of the harpies they learned that a squeaky wheel gets oiled and brother they seem to love oil more than a sailor in a Bangkok massage parlor.
God almighty! That is what I meant. Sorry. That is a bit of exhaustion coming out. Thanks for correcting me!No, just the laughing place.
You might really love the new version.Splash was my first WDW ride ever. As far as I’m concerned, all hope is not lost until construction walls actually go up. Maybe I’m just trying really hard to be optimistic.
Could you be offended by something? Sure... and you should do what most people do, vote with your pocketbook and don't go back. Pretty simple, and doesn't impact anyone else. Should Disney respond to anyone that is offended, No never because if they do they only increase the probability of more offended harpies jumping on Disney for something else that they find offensive. The better tactic is to ignore them. God knows before the virus Disney was not having any problem attracting guests. In your opinion, could there ever be a segment of society who might have valid complaints about something in a Disney ride/film? I know you’re trying to be optimistic but this is really painful for me and that pain is not going to go away with a new version that doesn’t have the songs, design, and characters that I’ve grown to love. Sorry. You might really love the new version.

In my opinion, Disney has more than just the immediate bottom line to consider. Park attendance is up. Splash Mountain wit times have consistently been high. Yet the association between Splash Mountain and Song of the South is a huge liability for the parks. They're working to mitigate that. This change has the potential of elevating Disney's status with a generation for years to come.Could you be offended by something? My ealiest relatives came to the USA on the second voyage to Plymouth, Massachusetts. I have had relatives fight in every war the US had and on both sides in the civil war. I love the American Experience and the HoP and hope they are not changed. As I previously posted I love Splash Mountain. I also love Frontier Land and TSI. However, maybe WDW can not only redo Splash Mountain but also BTMRR and TSI into a new land based on PatF. Put Tiana's place on the island and turn BRMRR into a Dr. Facilier ride. I think if Disney wants to do right by Tiana, just changing Splash Mountain is not enough given the area.
Did you think that was a bad move on Disney's part? This has already happened... look at the changes to the opening song of the original Aladdin movie.
Maybe most Italians have more pressing concerns than being perpetual crybabies.Okay, I would say Mario is a bad example that you’ve given either way. Because I haven’t actually seen too many people get offended by that. It’s a bad example because black people and slavery has a deep root in America which has affected the culture. And there’s a fight to move away from it. This really has to do with racism in America not so much every other issue that people could be offended by.
