Spirited Tuesday Musings: It is NEVER a good sign when the talking heads on CNBC have a panel discussion on whether Disney will take a hit from a write down of The Lone Ranger BEFORE the film opens. ... The reviews for it have been just godawful. One that I read was comparing the dark tone to that of Man of Steel (almost like the filmmakers are embarrassed by an optmitsic principled do-gooder). Well, if MoS is the comparison, Disney will be happy with the box office. ... Liza Minnelli ... that gal still goes down like a hot pastrami on rye with a side of NY potato sald at Nate and Al's (yeah, just checking to see if you have a pulse). ... Interesting rumor regarding SW looking to sell off its Busch parks just as I discovered how great they are. The sad thing is it looks to be quite true. ... So on one hand we're poised to be the largest oil producer on the planet and yet gas is still over $4 a gallon when it is a pittance in most top oil producing nations. And those Big Business defenders still steadfastly refuse to admit the game is fixed! ... Be Our Guest has its own stationary and envelopes and doesn't say MAGIC Kingdom anywhere on them. Do you think it doesn't want to be associated with the park either? ... No, Disney is NOT showing the full July 4th show all this week, no matter how many times you read some social media saying so. Only July 3rd and 4th get the full show, the rest get the America Lite version. ... What bothers me? Not being able to try out a pen before buying a package of them (yes, much like using the Postal Service and watching network TV, I write actual letters with actual pens) ... does that make you ROTFLMFAO? ... I don't get Pink. The singer, not the color. Seriously. Like at all. ... Hey, don't feel so bad that SpectroMagic was chopped up, placed in dumpsters and destroyed. You won't, if current plans stay on track, have to deal with the MSEP much longer. No, don't get excited about a new night parade (you don't live in Anaheim or Hong Kong). But Disney wants to run the new day parade at night starting next year, much like DL has run non Electrical Parades at night starting with the Mulan Parade in 1998 and continuing to the current sensational Soundsational. ...Does anyone truly enjoy summer in Florida, seriously? ... I have been really busy of late, so what's new in Disney social media circles? We must have daily updates showing all the construction of Disney Wh ...Springs, right? ... Is it just me or do some of the most rabid of Disney fans believe that WDW is simply the MK and EPCOT? ... It's OK Bob, give us your worst. I'll still be a Disney fan in 2016 when you are counting your money and finally gone. BTW, folks in the business say Bob opted to not try out the political realm because he was told by consultants that he didn't come off as likeable ... in politics. Yeah, let that one soak in a bit. ... The Disney Dream may be a beautiful ship, but I won't be traveling to Nassau at absurd price points so I'll wait until it is ported elsewhere (not nearly as long from now as you may believe). ... Can't help but notice how many old Disney execs (some with WDI ties) are now working for casino operators around the globe. ... Forgot to officially welcome Croatia to the EU. Can we get a Croatian pavilion at WS? ... Bruce Willis. Now THAT's a movie star!

Wow, I am disappointed Spirit, you don't get Pink. I despise most pop music but she is one the most talented singers in pop music today. She is an amazing live performer who doesn't lip sync even while she performs some cirque style acrobatics. My wife loves her. Watch the Funhouse Tour Live in Australia blu ray. That is what made me a fan and her performance of "Sober" during that show is jaw dropping. She makes these other so called stars who lip sync all or most of their show(Britney, Beyonce's, etc) look pathetic. We finally got to see her in Tampa this year and it was an amazing show. And this is from someone who has been to alot of concerts. But that is just my opinion. Back to our regularly scheduled .

Brave is the most boring film Disney has recently come up with. BORING. So boring I couldn't even finish it. I'm still trying to figure out how it beat Wreck-It Ralph and Frankenweenie for Best Animated Picture. As a matter of fact, all he contenders for that award were all better than boring Brave. Snow White trumps its any day for me as well.

I prefer hand-drawn animation, but I enjoy both. Doesn't matter to me.

I agree about Brave. Dull as dishwater, and awful-looking as well. It got the award because it's PIXAR. No other reason.

Oh man I LOVE Studio Ghibli. "Spirited Away" is my favorite non-Disney 2D animated film. Wish to heck Disney wasn't so stingy with Ghibli on Netflix and Amazon. Can't find the films anywhere on those two services.

Or iTunes for that matter. They used to have Howl's Moving Castle and Ponyo available for download at one point.

Does it look good? Did you watch the video? You can see unpainted control boxes and almost none of the characters move or anything when you shoot them. I will say I haven't been to Legoland since our son isn't old enough yet, but, I will have to check it out once he gets to that age.

Went to Legoland a few weeks ago. This particular ride wasn't open yet, but the place was pretty solid if you have young kids. It's literally half the price of WDW/Uni/SW but better than half as good. We were there from open to almost close and didn't do everything. Pretty solid crowds, especially at the waterpark. My only 2 complaints were that the food actually made me crave Cosmic Rays and they hit me up for $15 for parking. The place is literally in the middle of nowhere, the land had to be pretty cheap to buy. Free parking wouldn't kill them. I was slightly afraid someone would snatch my kids on the car ride in (if you turn on the news and a kid is missing its almost always in some less populated part of FL).

Some of the rides were definitely not up to the standards of the big 3 over in Orlando, but overall a pretty decently themed kids park. For those Mine Train haters who want to know what a real kiddie coaster looks like they have a few that even my 3 year old could ride. If you go in thinking this new attraction is going to be Legoland's "Potter 2.0 swatter" you will most likely be disappointed;).

Yes I did. I thought some parts looked good.

Speaking of Mexican restaurants, the one I work at here in Jax Beach, FL had a woman at a table talking about all the Orlando theme parks. She was discussing to her family about how Disney is working on a new version of fastpass, but I don't think she could remember the name. It was so hard to not chime in and tell her!

She also went on to talk about Space Mountain, and then about how Islands of Adventure was "the best park for rides". Then someone at the table asked what IOA was and I had to bite my tongue! But she described it well about how there is two Universal parks and all that good stuff. I hear people talking about Disney/Universal all the time. I always have to hold back in joining in on the conversation, so it doesn't seem like I'm eavesdropping, haha.

Sorry that was random. Carry on!
